The Israeli military has seized control of the Rafah border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt, after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to agree to the terms of a ceasefire with Hamas.
Hamas said late on Monday it has agreed to a ceasefire proposal but Israel said the terms did not meet its demands.
