In this video, I present my piano cover of "You Keep Hope Alive" - originally written by Mandisa, may she rest in peace and glory.
We lost Mandisa very recently and I wanted to pay tribute to this beautiful artist with this amazing song she used to rock my world.
My interpretation focuses on capturing the essence of the original while adding a personal touch to make it even more soothing and uplifting. It goes a bit off the rails, but I follow the music wherever it takes me.

@@joshmorphismusic I came because of "Pretty good year" and loved the way you played it. It made me curious and so I went to check out your channel, where I listened to most of your other pieces.😉 For me, you covered the best of Tori Amos, even "Marianne"👍👍👍, which I absolutely love. Since you shared a live of it, would you mind sharing a video in better quality of you playing it? I would look forward to it😌✌️. Only 2 other TA songs which I would enjoy listening to you cover them: "Horses" and "Jackie's strength". 🙂 Btw - (just in case😉you may consider): Howard Jones has a piano piece "Out of thin air", which I find REALLY really good. Also "The symphonic sessions" of David Foster - sooo powerful piano!! And of course, before I let you go, I have to mention "On golden pond" (Dave Grusin). I'm totally into film-music like that of James Newton Howard, Michael Convertino, etc. And so yes, of course I was happily surprised to discover your famous piece of the movie "The piano" by Michael Nyman. There's so much more, but I know I already exhausted your offer manyfold. Not sure if my English is 100% correct, please forgive. Aaaanyway, know that I appreciated your kind response big time, and your offer to request/suggest a song. It means a lot. I wish you all the best from heart and I look forward to hear more from you in the future. One last thing: I listened/watched (all)your pieces of old Kate Bush songs. I LOOOOOOOVE Kate Bush, but didn't know particularly the old ones you covered. Regarding her older stuff I only know and love Wuthering Heights, The man with the child....., and The Kick inside (maybe just very few others). Thus I was curious and checked out these/her originals you covered. Yep, I admit they are not my cup of tea🙈😅✌️. And so, listening to you expressing yourself on piano what you take out of these songs .... - ..... ...... 😲😲😲 ....... I'm speechless!!! Absolutely outstanding!! ​@@joshmorphismusic I'm curious, what's your thought on Bruce Hornsby?? Yes, I love his songs in general, BUT - his live "piano versions/performances" (or/and specifically piano compositions of him) are ... (for me) ...... just BEYOND!!!!! Unbelievably wonderful! Do you know his piano version of "Mandolin Rain"? I was just thinking, the way you play piano, wouldn't be Bruce Hornsby close at hand?
