it was mentioned in teaser that was on range before Fade's release. If you're curious google Kingdom Archives it's probably somewhere in there.

I recommend watching the EP4 videos and audio logs that cover Fade's teasers, it's the basis of why she ended up being a VALORANT agent in the first place. Fade originally believed the Protocol was responsible for kidnapping this missing person and threatened to expose the organization to the public. When VALORANT eventually captured and interrogated her, the misunderstanding became clear and she agreed to join them instead.
