He was never the real protagonist, just a decoy. This is excellent foreshadowing of the antagonist that Shinn would become. Even before Shinn's obsession with killing Kira, he was still very destructive and hypocritical.

Shinn Asuka reminds me who used to be Pro Japan, Anti Korea right winger(Netouyo) for believing in Japan's freedom of expression before I got betrayed by Japan when Abe is dead due to Kishida banning bikini from anime and Japanese CS games in Bloody summer in 2022. Even Gihren and Durandal won't ban bikini... Kishida reminds me of Jamitov.

I'll forever stand by my belief that killing Stella Loussier was the exact moment where Destiny lost any potential it might have had. She drove Shinn to be a better person and his character was actually beginning to improve. Without that motivation, he became a destroyer.

@@Solbrave00 Most of Destiny is Kira's fault. A good 70 Percent of the escalation of conflicts in the Second Bloody Valentine War was due to the interventions of the Archangel. Them dropping into the battlefield and wasting both sides was a completely pointless effort because they were only aggravating both sides and eventually earned the wrath of Zaft for continuously intervening in military conflicts.

If only Kira was just a cameo Shinn would been a better protagonist but he steal his show I would like to see shin in a more calmer tone which would show his skill and mindset Hopefully the new Gundam seed movie gives us that I doubt it though

But somehow athrun forgot his own words when after fighting kira, especially he punch shinn for defeating the freedom when shinn was following the military's order because kira and the archangel are REALLY causing chaos to the battle, even though they were trying to save the ORB. If Athrun and Kira could explain well for their actions, it could avoid many problems though

Athrun in destiny has a fear of making personal choices because he does not know what choices Will be the correct ones and what Will be the incorrect ones, so he's telling Shinn to not do them and to be responsable with Shinn's own power. He's right about how Shinn should be responsable, but His own doubts about personal judgement aren't healthy to Shinn, so when shinn beats Kira he's all mad because Athrun knows whats wrong with zaft attacking Kira, and shinn gets angry because Athrun himself told him about following orders

Ah yes the gundam MC that has no character development after the destroy gundam scene....everything was fine until that scene.... Even i Can change the MC's world view in that scene and make actual development for the MC but no.. they make MC want to take revenge against kira..... After all im pretty sure in that very scene they pretty much broadcast a fucking lie that the freedom didn't join the fight agains't the destroy gundam so they could have made The MC think that he could have not fully trust zaft...after the lie... and im pretty sure that Shin saw kira stop attacking the destroy when he said to stop attacking because its stella in there and kira just attack again because the destroy was in a rampage again he has no choice because more people die with the scattered beams everywhere.... MC no understanding Seriously??? thats why there is no character development...
