When introducing new foods or fruits to birds … let them see you eat it . Then they know it’s safe to eat . Sounds silly but I’ve been raising and keeping birds of many varieties for over 50 years. It’s the best way to get them to eat foods they’ve never seen before. Blessings to you all.

Miss Lewis might have realized the woods was not a safe nesting place after Ozella died. So glad she is safe. So excited it is almost hatching time for the VCP baby 🥰. Thomas and Scott are hilarious 😂😂

Agreed. I hope 🙏Miss Lewis has a compelling memory that the woodsy areas are too dangerous for adult peafowl, chicks, & eggs, from Many species of predators. Miss Lewis has witnessed a Lot of family loss. 😢 Perhaps she will be the First of a Cog Hill peacock adaptation that their nests will only be well inside the safer confines of fenced farm areas. 😊❤🙏 Maybe it will be an "evolution" of the Cog Hill Scott Peacock sub-species.2.0. *wink* 🦚🤣👍 No, I believe in God's blessings, & am Thankful for each one. ❤️✝️🙏💞.

Brooke, just the CHANCE that there might be a VCP baby almost ready to hatch. We have all seen geese and chickens and other fowl raising young. I don't think any of us have ever seen a Victoria Crown Pigeon chick. So, thank you, Mary Carl, for introducing us to this amazing breed of bird. Speaking of eggs. If you watch A Chick Named Albert he rescues all types of eggs, he has a video from start to finish on EMU eggs. How to tell if they are fertile anything you need to know about them. Just thought it might help you in the future. He has millions of views and is wonderful to watch.
