Yes VIVAIA shoes are made from recycled bottles, though it's more of a woven shoe than something like a faux leather. So wearing their glove boots for example, feels like wearing a stretch knitted sock that is combined with the structure of a shoe. I tend to avoid faux or faux patent leathers because my experience is that they don't give whereas with leather shoes I know what I can expect. Also knowing when a shoe is too narrow for you is a game changer too. Leather does give, of course but narrow shoes will probably always be narrow on you no matter how much the leather softens.
