I'm glad having someone edit your playthroughs has allowed you to start enjoying the game again! I could tell that maybe it was starting to become a drag for you for awhile there. My limited experience with editing has shown me that it's not something I think I'd want to do very much of. Playing other games sounds cool. Definitely don't want to burn yourself out on this gacha genre. I myself am going to try and ignore all the new ones coming out, I don't personally want to become a "gacha fan." As for your personality and the KZbin niche you find yourself in... well that's a tough one. Many of us are here because of your personality, and wouldn't enjoy if you were to suddenly become like all the other guys with the over the top enthusiasm and whatnot. However, it's hard to argue with numbers, people like me seem to be a small minority. It's easy for me to sit here and say, "no! don't change, I like how you do things!" when you're hoping to grow your channel from where it is now. Subbed to your vod channel
@TheRoschi2 ай бұрын
Yes having an editor has really changed things and put me in a more positive state of mind these last few weeks. Extremely helpful. I really just miss playing all sorts of games and doing the stream thing I think is a perfect excuse! I think variety is important. Yes, exactly. As I stated I don't plan on changing myself because I don't think I would be able to keep that up and it also wouldn't be genuine. It'd eat away at me. Yet, as you said, numbers don't lie. The people who enjoy my content do seem to be the minority, and while I'm glad that I can provide some enjoyment for those people, it isn't financially sustainable for me as my channel currently is. So I can only hope to grow (preferably faster) and if I don't then there's the unfortunate answer. I can only do my best and hope that it IS good enough. Thank you for your support once again. :D

So excited to hear about you getting an editor! Cant wait for more content, Gacha related or not. Regarding your comment about not being sure about where you fit in the gacha space on KZbin - I think you are making the right decision by sticking to making content your way and aiming for work/life balance. In my opinion, you bring a lot of value into this space but also your experience as an animator. So many times I'm amazed at how much you are able to pick up from the game's story and where it's heading simply by commenting on something that would've gone over my head. I'm pretty sure that as you begin to produce more content now that you have an editor, your audience is going to grow significantly. Also. you have a great personality. I some of the most popular creators in this space tend to be more high energy, but they also have audiences that tend to skew younger. There's nothing wrong with that, but not all of us are part of that demographic so believe me when I say there's a need for someone with your energy and tone here lol.
@TheRoschi2 ай бұрын
Thank you Piero. I'm glad that you think my energy fits in this space. I hope to grow and continue to provide the kinds of content that you enjoy. :)

It has been really busy irl tbh so it's been a while since I have watched content on youtube, but know that I'll constantly support your uploads! It's really awesome as well that you got an editor to help you out! Thanks a bunch to Earth-- I cant wait to watch the videos they edited! The lore community feels like something else tbh. But most of all, I think they're really welcoming! There's creators that tackles real life counterparts of Genshin lore, and there's those that discovers and connects the lore within the confines of the game! I think you're doing really well with the information you've gotten, and your theories and understanding of its world have always been solid in their own right! And I'm sure, with more time in the game and ofcourse the enjoyment to go along with it, you'll make even cooler theories out there! How you make your content is already great! But I will never say no to a drive to improve, so I will definitely support you and your channel/s as you grow. Looking forward to more of your content Roschi!

I personally don't care for more bombastic KZbinrs. They drain my own energy to watch. Nice on occasion, but not to regularly watch. So your own style of "monotone", as you out it, is preferable to me as a viewer. You are incredibly insightful and you express genuine emotion rather than putting on a show. So keep doing you, my man!
@TheRoschi2 ай бұрын
Yeah, this was all just an observation but I guess of my own style. Thank you. Glad that you enjoy it. :)

Hell yeah Roschi variety show, scuffed or not, sounds awesome! I did predict burnout a while ago, and I'm glad you got yourself an editor. This should definitely help ya :) Also, I wouldn't recommend comparing yourself to other larger youtube content creators. The key is to be consistent, and through time your audience will grow. Being consistent is the tough part, and if you endure - you'll make it. You got this Roschi!

I really love your channel specifically because you approach your videos in a different style to most creators! The highly reactive, energetic style of content is quite saturated, so to see someone who sits down and analyses what they play in a more thoughtful way really makes your channel more unique and valuable to me. In my eyes, your style makes a really good complement for what's already out there, and it's my belief that your work can comfortably co-exist alongside what's already out there precisely because of this. I think that by continuing to be who you are, you're doing both yourself and your viewers a service! I think your channel fills a much-neglected gap and in time, if you continue just as you are with your wonderful self, the audience who really appreciates you for who you are and what you make will find you in time. So rather than worrying about being so different to other creators, if I were you, I'd try seeing if you can reappraise it as a positive aspect of your channel that makes your work feel new and refreshing! Of course, this is just the perspective of one random stranger on the internet shouting into the ether, but I'm sure your other viewers agree too. Shine on you crazy diamond! Keeping being you!

For a random stranger on the internet, wise words. Thank you very much. It means a lot. :)

About what you addressed in the end, i dont think you should change how you make your content. Other people are successful the way they are, and maybe one day you can also reach them the way you are. If you are happy doing what you do now, then continue. While success may be important, especially when it involves money and having bills to pay, i still think that the most important thing is to do something that make us happy and enjoy life. Because if we are just doing everything in the automatic and always thinking that we should do something like this intead of that because people prefer that way, are we really living or are we just surviving?
@TheRoschi2 ай бұрын
...and yet, we can not live if we don't survive. Thank you for your words though. They're appreciated. As stated, I'm not changing myself to do anything. It's just that if it doesn't work out, then it doesn't work out and that's unfortunate for this whole thing. That is all.

Me and my partner have been silent watchers of your channel for some time now, and we can say with confidence that you are our favorite Genshin and Honkai KZbinr precisely because of your more "toned down" personality. It's always relaxing but no less exiting to watch your videos, hear your thoughts and theories and see how your experience evolves with time. It's always worth the wait. Other Genshin KZbinrs always felt either too stressing or just boring, and we would not care for the KZbin side of Genshin if it weren't for you. We thought you'd like to know that even those too shy to comment may still have strong (good) opinions about your content!

Not surprised you're having issues with WW, I've been unable to actually play it since release unfortunately even though I was looking forward to it since it was teased, the game is just unfortunately highly unoptimized and I think it's a common consensus that the release was rushed so It doesn't interfere with the hoyo stuff coming out soon I guess. Hoping you check out ZZZ, currently my most anticipated game, feels a lot more fresh than starrail did to me and the trailers so far have been incredible, would love to see you react to them if you're into it! I know absolutely nothing about the story aside from what's been shown in them so for the first time we'd be in the same boat lmao, but if not that's fine, gacha games can become tiring when you play too many so getting into other games is a great idea. Thank you for the vod channel, definitely going there to check it out, and congrats on your editor, the gameplay videos have been immaculate! I know you're not the biggest content creator and I'm unsure what it means or takes to be successful on youtube, but you're definitely my favorite on game related stuff, I love that you take things seriously and are trying to actually get deep into the story of the games I love that you're yourself and aren't pretending to be someone else just to garner a fake audience, I'm only wishing the best for you and your success!
@bluezonertb41392 ай бұрын
Congrats on the new editor! I hope this will give you some time to rest and not overwork yourself. The only content I usually watch on your channel is genshin related and I don't often watch streams, but I also almost never watch small content creators because their content is usually not great, but your channel was VERY different compared to everything else. I liked how honest it felt, the energy that you give off and the wat you did things. Out of all the other content creators, I'd say your my favorite rn. In my opinion, you shouldn't go mainstream, because it's not who you are. If you don't like your own content, then how can you expect others to like it. All in all, this is just my opinion. I wish you great success in your future.
@TheRoschi2 ай бұрын
As stated in the video I won't be changing how I do things. T'is just an observation if I'm cut out to make this a living. I'll either make it or I won't and that's all there is to it. Something will have to give eventually. I'm glad you find enjoyment in what I do, I'll continue to do my best as long as I am able. :)
@thedon82192 ай бұрын
Always love watching your vids! Personally I quite like your approach and the personality you bring, none of your reactions to anything feel forced either which is always a pet peeve of mine if I'm perusing other KZbinrs. I might not always have time to watch due to work and other obligations, but setting an evening aside to catchup on some quality Roschi content always leads to a fun and comfy evening :)

Imma be honest. I really like the 'monotone'. It's a breath of fresh air. The explosive personalities feel so fake at this point that anyone I watch on here going "whaaaaaat!?!?!?" makes me sign internationally in annoyance. We're so reactive to loud noises and overreacting that it's become the norm, and it's boring. I can't tell what the genuine reaction is because everyone does the same loud exclamation. You react like a normal person engaging I conversation with these characters. It's nice
@TheRoschiАй бұрын
I appreciate that. Thank you for the kind words. I recognize that people feel the need to go into performer mode for this kind of thing. Despite not liking that style of over exaggeration, numbers don't lie, and the algorithm here supports it, so I can't completely fault the CC's that sell out to that way of operating. It is what it is. To be honest, even I turn up my personality about 10%, but I think in a different way. I mostly do that so I can put my introverted self in front of a camera in the first place. I just don't think I could intentionally bounce off the walls because it would obviously appear to be disingenuous after some time if not immediately, especially if I ever make it to the point where people here got a chance to meet with me in person. I just want to be me, so when something does move me emotionally, it's real, and hopeful people understand that, and it'll mean more. Everything is so fabricated these days especially with content creation that I lowkey hope people will yearn for authenticity and eventually see through this fog sooner than later and actually search for the people who remained grounded, and I can only hope to be amongst the group that's discovered before it's too late. ...Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk.
