Forty-five minutes north of Los Angeles is a place referred to as the Chinese Beverly Hills. CNNMoney's Vanessa Yurkevich tours the booming town of Arcadia, California.

Definitely agree on the price, but the quality of the properties in Beverly Hills are much much better. Warren Buffet calls this overvaluation. Almost all rich Chinese person with properties in these cities agreed the quality of the properties in China are inferior. In China, the following order of most overpriced properties: 1) Hong Kong 2) Shen Zhen 3) Shanghai 4) Beijing.
@90361646895 жыл бұрын
Raghunandan Reddy C Democratic country wrapped in bubble, is of no use. Because once the bubble burst the Castle will crumble. The 2008 housing bubble has shown this. Wait next till the end of the petro-dollar. Better a known enemy than an unknown one. Communist here is better than the unknown Imperialistic Deep State, with its war. Thats why you will always be a third class country & your people always abused. Figures though your actresses can't go & sell their pussies in China. Maybe thats why you angry.
@kennethli85 жыл бұрын
@@9036164689 -- @OldMonk -- You need do your homework first before you make stupid statements like those who are uneducated. For you to make that stupid statement shows your ignorance of the Democratic economy. When a bubble burst, people who saved money have an opportunity to buy. I know plenty of lower middle class Chinese people who did very well during the Financial Crisis in 2008. Over 99% of the people in China will never be able to afford the tier 1 cities for the rest of their lives. The media of both Communist and the Democratic countries spread too much propaganda. Living in a communist country like China is better for many common people and living in a Democratic country is also better for many common people too, depending on their situation. Fact: I lived around the world for many years. Fact: In the history of the USA, every race, other than rich England people, have been discriminated a point in time. Germans, Jews, Irish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Korea, Blacks, East Indians, etc have all faced discrimination. I hear a lot of Cantonese and Hong Kong people screaming that the White people would not promote them. Why? Because they never fight for what they deserve. I see plenty of Northern Chinese people, Taiwanese, Chinese Hunan people, Jews, Indians, etc become self-made Billionaires in California but not Cantonese or Hong Kong people. You need to do your homework first before making a statement about being treated like at third class citizen in a Democratic country. It's the same people who never fight for what they want are the same people who would never vote when given the opportunity as well as get involved in their community.

A lot of the homes will sit empty, whenever they do move into them. The rent in the area is pushing a lot of people out.

**DISCLAIMER:** I don't know everything . As a resident, it aint that bad tbh. Back in the 1950s it was nearly 100% wealthy Caucasian until, the late 80s when Chinese (Cantonese) started fleeing to it. See the British lease on HK was going to expire soon and the citizens of HK wanted another place to go where they would not be forced into the Chinese Communist Government. There were two men that pioneered the growing demand and ease of finding a place to live with freedom. It was only a matter of time when the wealthiest people of HK flooded Arcadia which had the Santa Anita race track to make them feel right at home. What made Arcadia a prime spot for Cantonese? - Great Public School - Surrounding population of Asians (San Gabriel Valley) - Wealth and Desirable Living - Santa Anita Race Track (Horse Racing) - Hong Kong is known for it's horse racing - Immigrating to California is easier than most of the United States

If you live in LA and are familiar, you'll know there's actually a lot of neighborhoods with that price range, they don't live in Beverly Hills because a house there is literally ten to one hundred times the price. For 1-3million they can afford a condo in Beverly Hills, a million dollar home isn't rare at all, a three million now where getting somewhere, but yeah a lot of asians there, like the middle easterners and all other immigrants, like branded items to show off, Mercedes BMW, throw a tittle like Asian Beverly Hills, goood marketing for niche town in the outskirts of LA, a lot of outskirts neighborhoods worth a million, this is America specifically California, I mean just try to buy a cheap beach front property, you can't really, everything cost a million plus, bad neighborhoods cost half a million, empty towns cost 250k and anything in the middle of nowhere still over 100k Marketing makes a difference

Acadia does have really nice houses but I wouldn't call them mansions. It's up in Sierra Madre and Bradbury where you can find even larger and nicer houses but still can't be compared to what you can find in Bel Air

Bel Air is older and more established

Funny how humans self segregate by race and culture while at the same time claim that segregation is evil.

Given the current climate and how certain races are being attacked now, segregation must remain for preservation
