the fact that 4 of you can create such a warm and thick sound like a full choir is just mesmerising

they are 4! Why shouldn't they sound like a choir? Because Dodie sets the sound with her very quiet voice, the others can't help themselves and sing very quietly. Where you hear a thick sound is a mystery to me. The harmonies are beautiful and so are the vocals. But reserved. The sound is very, very timid and quiet. With Dodie as the leading voice you will never get a "big sound". I also have the impression that not much has developed in recent years. Maybe she has now defined this as her style tool. Even though I like them a lot, that constant reserved sound drives me crazy after a while. I can't listen for long, which I always think is a shame because Dodie is great as a musician.
