Who remembers the plastic seat covers with the bumps? Our 1968 black Dodge Dart had them. It looked to me like a police car and my momma drove it like a Singer sewing machine. 😂
@Tomatohater648 ай бұрын
Yes indeed. We had a 1969 Dodge Dart coupe in ugly, dull, medium blue inside & out. It had those crappy plastic seat covers you mentioned but did NOT have an FM radio or air conditioning. It was an oven on wheels and I hated it. We only kept it for 2-3 years before my folks got another "winner." A 1971 Chevrolet Greenbriar stationwagon in ugly gold with a black interior - yuk. Another car without air conditioning or presence - hated that one too. 🤣🤣🤣

Wow, memories! My parents had a 1959 Dodge Coronet. It was a hardtop coupe in two-tone green. Very sharp and very fast with that V-8 in it. This was the only car my parents ever owned that I actually liked. 🤣🤣
@skyjust8287 ай бұрын
My husband & I bought a 57 Coronet in 1986, we had 2 small children. He had his first car out son was newborn he thought he & our son could work on his '67 was looking for a "parts car" he thought it was a typo, but he called & the little old lady said "no we bought it brand new in '57. 😳 She only wanted $350 for it. We hightailed it to go look. She took us out to the garage as she explained the transmission was having trouble & was worried she was giving us a bad deal. It was MINT!! Joe (my husband) looked under the hood poured 2 pints of transmission fluid in (it was pushbutton automatic) he started it up. It was seriously only driven to church on Sundays 🎉❣️🥰 we drove it all over SLC, then to Reno (where his next job was) then to Fresno California 6 months then from California to Jackson Tennessee drove it there for 2 years drove it home to Texas where we sold it for $350. The only work we ever did on it was that 2 pints Transmission fluid 4 oil changes & new tires. It ran perfect the whole time. MOPAR go figure 😂🤣😂

some of these were still around in the 90s and later for example the Oldsmobile Cutlass was made from 1961-1999 technically the Impala Super Sport was first released in 1961 initially the Impala was the top trim of the bel air just like the Caprice was later started as the top trim of the Impala

The Plymouth Volare and Dodge Aspen (which existed from 1976 to 1980) were merely mid-season replacements for the Plymouth Valiant and Dodge Dart. The only thing the 1964 Studebaker Commander occupies in automotive history is that it's part of the last generation of Studebakers to ever exist.
