I want to go over three degrees of "complexity" for rhythm guitar playing on the Fiddle Tune, Stoney Point. Each way is a tool in the toolbox, to be used with the right application during the appropriate setting. It's your job as a rhythm player to discern when these different options are best used and to experiment with their combination.
What are your observations?

If there are a category of people that think you’re not going fast enough, these are people that don’t want to learn. I’ve played for 50 years, I’ve enjoyed your videos, I’ve watched and I’m still learning at 65 years old. Thanks for taking the time to share valuable information! You’re a good man !

"Serving the Song" : good phrase. Each song is composed of unique elements : gestalt : the sum of its parts. Got it.

" that MIGHT fit, that might not fit " : Well, I hear when you keep it 'boom-chuck', good space for vocal styling to fill with stronger colour. When you went Jimmy Martin fancy, I think it leads to a bridge or its a part that adds depth to your song , rhythmically and melodically. Ultimately, I think it's about "Fitness"...does it fit the composition? Does it support or strengthen the melody and rhythm or is somebody showing off to his girlfriend in the front row? That's all I got.

I think its contextual….As a early learning guitar player i find the complexity the most interesting and impressive because i dont play in a band or with others. In a band setting you would need to leave space for “the others” with a less complex. E.g., Church Street Blues is super impressive and full as a 1 man show but would prob never work with a 4 or 5 piece band,

Great video man. I also feel like I need one of those metronomes now. They ironically match that bluegrass sound lol it's like you have a mandolin player constantly chuckin

would it be possible for to make a video on how to transcript banjo notes to guitar? Example would be “Shuckin the corn” that tune is Allll banjo and I see folks play it on guitar and I want to be able to translate banjo notes to guitar. Much appreciated for this. Please and thank you.

Great lesson but man, the first 7 minutes were such a waste. You reiterated everything that we sat through you writing. Seriously no hate but start watching it at seven minutes and see what i mean. People deserve to hear what you are sharing. Look at your retention times. I apologize if this came across rude but maybe itll help get your numbers way up!❤
