You might not like DMZ 2...Here's why

Nobody knows what’s gonna happen with DMZ, but hopefully they bring it back because we still play it to this day. It is more fun than Warzone multiplayer zombies resurgence all put together

Wouldn’t be shocked if they’re looking to make a stand alone game from DMZ now, at 70 cost. And bet they’re wanting people on a yearly subscription; wouldn’t be surprised if they say their gonna try a ‘beta’ payment plan for the subscription, and that they ‘promise’ they won’t double it for ‘3 years’

If DMZ didn't do good, why did Zombies copy it? Why did COD do everything but shut servers down* when Zombies came out? DMZ was taking away from 2 of COD's cash cows, Warzone and Zombies. I believe DMZ was alot bigger than we knew and COD wasn't ready for it to blow up like it did.(they couldn't profit from it like Warzone yet) I think they're building it right now so it can be more profitable and take it out of Beta

I wish we were able to see the breakdown of profits on bundles sold in DMZ vs WZ or any other version of COD games. I personally believe the amount of bundles sold on DMZ is much higher then many think, bias yes...due to I have 19 slots and 37 operators, but even if you go into the store for MW3 season 6, there is STILL DMZ 15min bundles for sale.. maybe that's the algorithm since I play so much DMZ making them show up, idk. I like to think the logic of some that have stated due to other dates of other COD stuff being shut down, kinda makes sense they plan or are doing something about a new DMZ. We won't know until close to release...or right before shut down. So, it's really a guessing game for all of us.

It's exactly what I've been saying since day 1. DMZ has been my favorite game pretty much ever. But the one thing it did poorly is all of the extraction stuff. The feeling of extracting multiple sets of gear, or weapons, or parts. I don't care for the goose egg hunting in Extraction Shooters (find 15 bolts to do this) but in Delta Force it makes it really easy with all of the tracking. Sadly, I don't think DMZ is ever going to get an update. The only thing that keeps my hopes alive is that they haven't just shut DMZ down and there isn't even a whisper to shut DMZ down entirely. But if it does come back - it needs to have just a bit more complexity. You need to feel like you lost something when you lose. Whereas right now dying in DMZ is just an annoyance because you have to go back to the menu. Delta Force has a real shot of really making a lot of DMZ players feel at home. But Delta Force has a couple of issues that I see that you can't just compare it to DMZ 1:1. Delta Forces TTK is very punishing. Unless there's an imbalance between your gear and their ammo. But otherwise the game, while being better than Tarkov in this way, turns into "Do I see them first? I win!" once you start experimenting with higher tiers of ammo. DMZ had so much verticallity that Delta Force doesn't really have right now. Some of my favorite moments in DMZ is sniper battles ontop of the high-rise buildings and parachuting from building to building chasing, pushing, strategizing. Every fight feels completely unique because it's so dynamic and because of the slower pace the fight can travel all around the map without being trapped in by the circle (at least until later obviously). In Delta Force, the fights, while fun (and there are definitely places that are fun to fight repeatedly) get very samesy because of this. Adopting some verticality in some way would be very beneficial to Delta Force. DMZ also had super large scale maps with vehicles and the verticality we talked about. This is something that is really underrated. It makes it feel like a true WarZone. We know Delta Force has the infrastructure to make this happen due to their other game modes having vehicles. I would just like to see it in the Extraction mode as well. Otherwise, Delta Force, which I will be playing regardless; has taken all of the tedious stuff in Extraction Shooters and streamlined it to the flat out / hands down easiest and most straight forward experience you could ever experience. It's actually revolutionary in the ease of use UI, quest system, tracking item system, hideout system, auction house system. All of it is stuff I've complained about extraction shooters for years and they simply perfected it. For that alone, it's very easy to just keep hopping in game after game, and the gameplay is fun enough - I see myself playing it for a long time.

Delta force is super good but, it lacks the vehicules and the elvation, ziplines, parachute , movement ect that DMZ has iIMO..

I think DMZ was just fine. The reason many of us stopped playing is that after the missions are done, then it’s just a Lord of the Flies version of Warzone with a focus on PvP. MWZ is the PvE version. I think if they keep adding content(maps, missions, bundles), people will keep paying and playing.

I hate to say it but get rid of 15min cool down so nobody complains about P2W bundles lol.. give us day/nite maps as a option with random weather etc.. make some unique weapon attachments that u can only loot to find like that kastov 762 heated madness blueprint

DMZ was a Beta, to test the viability of the extraction mode. it was never finished, but showed promise if CoD decided to fully develop it, it would likely do alot better.

Totally agree, delta force has set the standard for the casual extraction shooter. All the elements work well and its more simple than arena/gzw/tarkov. DMZ doesnt work as there is nothing to do. The missions in dmz are better than deltaforce, hopefully it take the good points from delta (loot, barter, grinding) and keep the good things from dmz

DMZ was good because it's so basic you can die and regear easily but still get the thrill of losing all your loot. no nonsense back into the action. Games like tarkov or delta force don't compete

I would probably play DMZ more if it does come out, COD guns and its customization, movements, and etc feels more solid compared to Delta Force

I bet most of the people who say they hated Delta force because they get clapped so hard, they cry about it and blame the game than them just being straight up trash because they don't the "mOvEmEnT!!!" I wanted DMZ to be an Extraction shooter, but the devs just did not seem that interested in having this style of game. But the fact people are taking a liking to dmz than warzone shows that there is a community that will play this rather than warzone. I have over 400hrs on dmz and still playing it, although i don't play it a lot as it can get boring since there isn't much to do in it, but the pvp encounters can be fun, but the likes of a UAV, comms vest, stealth vest and basically anything that can reveal a player very easily does not belong in an Extraction shooter, especially with that many items that can aid in tracking other players.

DMZ didnt Succeed according to whom? Activision? Triarc, or any other company associated with COD. Who cares what they think. you cant measure success of a game you only labeled as Beta mode and never went with a true game mode like Warzone and multiplayer and other modes. Those Companies that make COd only care what streamers or Content creators say to them and dont really ask the regular players that used to grind out DMZ everyday for months and months and months. DMZ is what got me back into playing COD, especially other modes besides Campaign mode. I used to hate multiplayer modes on COD because it was nothing but spawn and get killed 2 secs later. The better players knew the spawn points and wouldn't let the normal players get any better. With DMZ it was different kind of mode that you could go with a team, or solo or just met people that wanted to do missions, and it got ruined by streamers and content creators complaining once again about not enough PVP

Division 1 was my first extraction shooter an I loved it just like DMZ I think u are %100 right ElClaptain they need to make it were u can extract everything an sell everything or sell to other players watching streamers an getting bored of MWZ is what drew me to DMZ i just started playing 4 months ago zombies is what got me use to the backpacks an I love the gear fear no other game gives u bec I love the slow play unlike warzone which just seems to be rinse an repeat I use multiplayer just to get camos there's nothing to lose who cares about KD ratio unless u play ranked an I haven't played ranked since they had ranked multiplayer on BO2 or BO3.

The only exploit ppl use that I see is the kosch glitch or the 1shot Bryson... I can't say I ever ran into a hacker 1 time and I been playing DMZ since the beginning.. I'm not mad at a shotgun killing with 1 shot at close quarters.. Shotguns are meant to be devastating at close range.. that's the chance u take when u deploy🤷🏾

few things: 1. activision ditched the backpack system and it will probably never be back and without it there is no extraction mode 2. to be able to get dmz 2.0 it will probably have to be standalone game that shares maybe maps and guns with cod or warzone, everything else needs to be made differently: missions, contracts, AI bots, exfils, poi's, spawns, loot, market system, etc, and its all high maintenance in man power and money 3. dmz and delta share only two similarities: looting and shooting, everything else is different

Now to why the first one isn't important. Firstly, WZ and DMZ aren't the same game, applying the same logic means they'd have to shut down the existing version of DMZ in order to get rid of the backpack. Secondly, the new DMZ is gonna be released with MWIV and new warzone if anything, so it's not gonna have any connections with DMZ and WZ that we have now, like Warzone 2 wasn't connected to Warzone 1

(and backpack system is crucial for extraction shooters)
