When it suits them they hold that the boxer with better ring generalship, pressure, connection with the harder punches consistently and better stamina and defensive skills should win. All of this is what Serrano showed. You would think that idiots out there who always go for that in scoring would hold that Serrano won. Therefore both punches landed and damage are vital factors that determine the outcome of a boxing match, this is so basic that it should not have to be stated.

3 simple questions … when did you see Katie put in trouble Amanda as Amanda put Katie on brink of KO 2 When did you see Katie fight forward pushing the fight … who was constantly on the attack? This is not amateur boxing scoring … this is professional boxing scoring and based on that Amanda Serrano won the fight. The only way I objectively see Katie winning was because it was her Champion Title on the table and if fight is close … they will give it to the Champion and then correct scoring of fight should been 6/4 Katie or a draw but no way it was 7/3 as one judge scored it. That is being blind of judge pocketed some money. On Katie side ; I would recommend she reconsider fighting Amanda again because when a boxer gets hit so hard to the head it usually Shows later up as severe brain damage in motor skills. There is lots of case studies in this type of damage and your health is not worth the money. Maybe as much experts say , Katie should go up one or two weight classes where the punch will not be that bad. Amanda hits hard and for A rematch in Ireland Amanda knows that she will have to punch Katie’s head off to pull off a win in her turf. Anybody who cares about Katie should worry about the medical side of the punching. Amanda hasn’t been punch to the point as Katie was. Just talking my peace as a Physical Therapist. I’ve seen champions that today can’t stand up without assistance… and that is sad.
