"cheaper online" Yeah, but you dont have to drive your car to a field in the middle of nowhere in the early hours of the day, setting it all up on a small little table, and sitting all day long to hopefully sell some stuff so you do not have to toss it in the bin afterwards. (because, why bring it back home, it's junk) So, appreciate what these people do, and pay up for it. Locally. Helps local economy a bit more.

That’s not how it works. If I’m getting out of my bed at 4am to walk around a wet field I’m not going to pay higher than online prices am I. Otherwise I would stay in bed and buy it with delivery to my front door. If they want online prices they can also stay in bed 🛌 and list it. But they don’t want the hassle of photos , description , seller fees , postage and packaging. That’s why you get stuff cheaper in a field than online.

@@FlippingSloth I don't agree. They have to sit and wait for the customer to come up and actually buy it. While online it can sit for years and nobody cares. Those who buy will make you a profit, and over time there will be some. In a field this is not the case. It is only those who actually go there who might buy it. And so, it takes a bit more effort to sell it in a field than online. Online is just a bit of writing and a picture or 2. Plus, i think connecting with people is also important. Which does happen in a field, and not so much online. But that is another discussion. You may be right on "how it works" in real life. BUT if you think about it, it is garbage. Why would i be paying for something "Online", thereby helping "them" out "over there" while people in my community have the same stuff on sale for just a dollar/pound more? Even if its a difference of 5 pounds. It is a one time buy, so who cares? I think supporting the locals is a bit more important than saving a buck or 2.
