I love this, toda rabbah! I took notes, and I will apply! May the whole earth be filled with the Light of Torah. Thank you for preserving and keeping His Torahs all these many centuries despite such antagonism and violence ... And for sharing the beauty of Torah with us. All my love and prayers. Blessings for 5785

Always love hearing your lectures and strong reminder to stay committed to G-d. I’m a non-Jew following the laws of Noahide, and yet seeking and doing more than required because of my love for G-d.

Rabbi Skobac is a brilliant man. He backs up everything that he says with the appropriate scripture.
Targum Jerusalem, Deuteronomy 26:17 - You have chosen the Word of the Lord to be King over you this day, that He may be your God.

Targum Jerusalem, Deuteronomy 26:18 - But the Word of the Lord becometh the king over you for his name's sake, as over a people beloved as a treasure, as he hath spoken to you, that you may obey all his commandments.

made a lot more concrete and clear, especiaklly that to fear G.d in the hebvrew Yir'a has the root of the word see Lir'ot.I was always a litle repelled to be fear as in afraid of someone love, but in the sense of "awareness to be seen" like WWTWUD (what would thora want us do) gives the exact geshmak, what flavor is ment.

Which book of the 6 commandments the holy Rabbi is talking about?
@aprylvanryn58983 ай бұрын
Wait wait wait a second here. You're saying that if I go to school for 7 years to become a doctor then do another 7 years learning to be a surgeon and then have 30 years of experience and become the leading surgeon in my field that I didn't do any of that and it was all God? You may have to take that one back to the blackboard. That sounds a lot like the gaslighting that happens in some abusive relationships. "You would be nothing without me" is the common rhetoric of the abusive. Surely, there's another way to interpret that commandment that doesn't paint God is such a crummy light.

"To believe in your doctor is a form of idolatry" No, it isn't. Believing in your doctor is not the same as believing in God. You're just playing word games when you say that, and I wish you wouldn't say such things. While it may seem innocuous, such statements are the foundation of the mistrust of science that some people have.

If you think your doctor is science, that's the reason "people mistrust scientists". Dishonest scientists and doctors who advise what they're told to advise rather than the truth, people rightfully should not trust. Getting to the subject matter, "believing in" a doctor, is extremely differentiated from trusting a doctor.

It is your lack of trust in our Creator and placing it in a creation silly he is 100% correct
