Wisadel is more comparable to Mlynar and Degen the type of dps you press the button and see big red numbers. At some point as a veteran you will have more than enough damage to meet the dps check and you'll want to look more into utility like Ines for example who I honestly believe the best unit in the game

@@imadaga69420 For sure, I was making as a 1+ year vetran I was looking at all the OPs and Ines followed by Mountain are simply the best units in the game. Ines Bind S1 physical damage+ Caster level arts as DOT, S2/3 range and surprisingly good pulse, not to forget she PRINTS DP and has invis reveal. Walter is just as loaded but her niche is map destroying, it's definitely reaches into the unfun meta while having no interesting interactions. PS: I used to thing Flagpipe/S3 was good until I got my account going and trust farming, then I realized even with subpar "trust" ops, I don't need a vanguard for 75% of content, and half of when I do will slot in any pioneer. Mountains just special because he's an all in one B grade lane holder, use him to open, you him to clean, you him on your off lane, just a good QOL OP.

It really feels like Wisadel is released as HG accepting that Flinger as a concept kinda fail for this type of game. Multi-hit AoE shockwave just doesn't work that well with flat damage reduction DEF system as you either do absolutely no damage (Def negate it all) or do way too much damage (The minimum damage hit is high enough and now you have a built-in multiplier that's also AoE), kinda like how the 6* marksman are suffering hard if they cannot trigger crit because shooting 3-5 shots per sec will either do no damage because it does peanut damage to high def or just delete the other side. For Wisadel to be a worthy lore accurate+limited release, her damage needs to hit high enough for even the smallest hit to matter against high def enemies and this is what we end up with, a multi-hit char who isn't nullified by defense deleting the game. The only other option was making her an AoE marksman again but her base form is already that and it's underwhelming to release the same thing. I hope when the next arc of the main story start, AK will find means to evolve itself in a different direction for the damage race. With what they have been doing, they clearly aren't 100% content with just the game being gated by either Def or Res anymore and is trying to change it up with Elem Attack being added at a rather fast pace across the board. Maybe Corrosion effect will change how the Physical damage race work when it's properly introduced and isn't just a def down.

But regardless, it's because she explode so many things before they can retaliate that every other thing about her can contribute to her being so busted. Had Wisadel obey the same rule as other as an AoE character and not melt Elite enemies, which can be seen when she uses S1 or S2 instead, she doesn't feel that broken at all because she still follow the same rule as all the other chars and have the weakness of her archetype. You can give her S2 a summon like S3 when she casts it so she can have 3 of them out and she will still feel fair when she's only doing chip damage to elites and just being a nuisance to them. It's entirely her S3, an AoE skill with enough multiplier stacked to rival a single-target boss killer that she truly crosses the line.

Yes how "Flinger" sniper currently functions is a mistake, this is why instead aftershock damage physical -> arts damage. That way aftershock still would deal damage, and then people start making stupid assumptions like "now your damage gets reduced by both enemy DEF and RES" Yes it would, but if an enemy have both of those very high shouldn't you be using true damage instead? Or just read what is the condition to get rid of the enemy. If you are too lazy just put Ifrit in the squad her mere presence erases 40% RES anyway. (Truth be told they never consider changing something even when it becomes ridiculous in current standarts, they are not even trying to fix it and Frostleaf is the biggest proof of that) Marksman snipers still relevant as they always been, what marksman does? targets aerial enemies first, so easy way to keep it balanced would be not to give aerial targets +1000 DEF, (and they did for that ch14 floaty things (Chalice of Mortality)) If they do give flying enemy +1000 DEF then its no longer marksmans' job to take it down, you need to check what else might work on that, Besieger (big ATK, targets heaviest enemies, ch8 and ch12 drones weight 4 and 5 respectively) Caster (deals arts damage) or just bring ATK buffer to make your marksman better along with a Hexer to debuff enemy 1 man carry operators are just annoying to see, are you here for tower defence experience or press one button go to sleep experience? "Lore Accurate" ok ancient Sarkaz weaponary broken, you can claim that is lore, still they could have made it balanced by giving it *actual drawbacks* other than making player wait for 10 seconds after deployment and making them wait 50 seconds after skill canceled/ended I know they won't do that but here is what could actually be balanced Either forced retreat or unable to activate skill again after it ends (if forced retreat it may increase redeployment timer by 15% per used bullet or just flat out timer extension like NTRK S2 without Kazimerian deployment condition) Alternatively S2 also gives 1 summon, but the summon will be nerfed to hell, and S3 all summons will be retreated the moment skill ends Currently summon has: 3500 HP 660~777 ATK 585~650 DEF 50 RES, Stats too good assuming that none of the melee enemies will be able to hit it. How about it have gets same stats as Magallan S2 drones E1 1500 HP 295~379 ATK 150 DEF 0 RES E2 2000 HP 408~509 ATK 200 DEF 0 RES this sounds about balanced assuming Magallan's X module

@@DrSalt7064 The funny thing about making Shockwave do Art damage is exactly what HG came up with to fix Rosmontis and the flinger archetype with the IS module that is supposed to be the strongest one you can ever get because it's limited to one mode. They give Rosmontis 1 hit of 100% Art damage because the only way to safely introduce AoE + Multihit into the game is to make it Art and this make Rosmontis relevant again in IS. The extra tactical gears are very strong bonus for free blocker but being able to actually do damage is massive for her because her damage was just sad to look at when it struggle to even overcome mid-tier enemy rising average def. So HG really does know when they mess up but they cannot make much changes as is the nature of Gacha game and its monetization in general so if a specific archetype needs to be sold especially for important event, they know exactly what needs to be added to make them viable and it's exactly why I want them to do something about marksman as it is a sad archetype atm. The problem with Marksman is really that HG kinda realize the "Priority targeting" as a trait is very mediocre, it was good on initial release with limited roster but it's bad design long term as it's very easily made irrelevant. Any aerial enemy that can be killed by a Marksman will either have low enough defense that any other source of AoE ranged damage will also kill them which is why we AoE sniper heavily balanced by attack speed so the marksman is still better at this and why Flinger was limited to not hit Aerial at all. With powercreeping however, we will end up with more AoE that can also hit aerial by default and those all blow up the weaker enemies marksman are meant to be favored against. And as you mention, high def aerial target cannot be killed by Marksman anyway without helps so over time, their purpose diminishes as any hard hitter archetype can kill both the weaker drone with no effort and also the stronger drone. The multi-hit end up working against them due to rising defense and it's why units like Ela completely powercreep the entire class because instead of going for fast multiple hits, she is given a good amount of Atk%+Crit instead and with crit, she can penetrate defense. It's exactly why unit like Kroos 3* is such a good starter because she can ramp up her damage with S1 and also crit, stacking atk multiplier. I hope HG decide to just fix the class by giving them hit-based crit ramp on a new module for trait improvement or introduce a way to increase minimum chip damage like Red talent.

S2 is a high skill cycle burst, 20-25sp. This can be used almost every wave and will wmd elites and other weirdlings. S3 is more like a boss killer when the last wav eis gonna wrck your line. The 50 sp is designed to be used sparingly twice a stage, as a kind of wmd button tacticall drop. S2 benefits from aspd buffs and slow support units and ambusher binders. It can esseenially be used to reduce pressure on a lane so you can deploy mor ops to th eothr side of th stage.

I think that’s disputable. There is fun in using her. It’s like you have reached and unlocked the best and final upgrade for your faction in a strategy game and now you dish out annihilation on enemies you once thought were hard to overcome. It’s pretty fun.

I used her in a IS2 calamity faceoff difficulty run with just s2m2 without module to test her out, and she annihilates the enemies to the point so effortlessly that I am left smiling. So the way I see it, existing content would be easier with her. However, most of the player-base would have already completed existing content anyway. So that leaves just the newer players. For such players, it becomes a unit to strive toward to get if they start after the limited. Even if someone starts now and gets her, they will still have to build her up to E2 etc. So realistically speaking, she will not make that much of an impact I to make the game boring. After all, for veteran players, she isn't a necessary place holder. In my own case, and I am far from a veteran, one of my favorite ops is Bena due to the Japanese voice actress and what I consider to be a quirky enough kit. I still take her in the squad and use her when I have the more superior Spec Alter fully built and with a abyssal op squad that I could use. In other words, people can still have fun with their favorite ops.

Basically, it's the Black Star from Star Wars: a fortress with big sentries protecting her (with the stats of a defender, that she can respawn whenever she use S3) and charging a superlaser destroying everything.... and almost always under camouflage at E2. The only problem is her dp cost, making her hard to deploy in the begining of the battle where she shine a lot, but she worth it totally... best operator of the game nowaday.

My pulls started out pretty bad, but with almost 400 it eventually came around. In total I got: - Jessica alter (new) - Fiametta (pot 1) - Logos pot 3 - Wis’adel Pot 4 - spark: W x2 (new, still need to get to 400 for the 2nd one tho) So 9 in total (though I still have the dailies ofc), which is… alright? Slightly above average when calculating pity, so that kinda sucks, but at least I did not get screwed over like with the Texas banner (1 Texas in 300 pulls, pot 5 Penance). Secretly hoping I can get one more 6 star, hopefully Wis’adel for the talent boost, but otherwise I think I’m going to see if I can farm them from somewhere... I am a simp for Hoederer and his team (Babelknights?), so I really wanted her. She is e2 lv90 s3m3, has max module & im speedrunning her trust, now at 101 (Fennyr in case you want to add me for support). Been playing for over 3 years now, so I think I’m finally going to try more niche plays. Probably Sarkazknights, but there are so many strong units in there (even if I don’t have Typhon)… maybe Babelknights, though that team is very small (Hoederer, Ines, W & Wis). Eh, I’ll see I guess.

So this banner was... absolutely busted for me!!! Within 220 pulls I got ---- Wis and maxed her Snake mommy Muelsyse specter alter aler skadi (I think... that ones a little blurry) and lobos!!! I felt like every other bag was a 6 star. And the maxed W ONLY happened cause lobos was an ass and didnt pop till pull like 220. Now I sleep with little supplies and all luck spent. I eagerly await the space debris that's gonna hit me any day now...
