My greenhouse literally exploded in the storms. So 500 ish quid lighter I'll have a slightly bigger one in 5 weeks time. Ive currently got everything i was overwintering in a DIY coldframe made from the greenhouse panels. Fingers crossed everything makes it. On the plus side i now have polycarbon sheets to put over my raised beds next year to hopefully start more in the ground and make a little extra room in the greenhouse

Great video. Could you tell me how often do you water your seeds/seedlings? Both inside and in the polytunnel please.

I am disabled so have very limited space and can't afford any heating, my house is around 6-8*c so can't do any peppers or anything early which is so frustrating but will purchase seedlings later in the year

I recommend Garland super 7 heated propagator for a windowsill. Cheap as chips to run but gets seedlings to germinate rapid! That's what I used because my house is a tiny igloo too.

Or you could wait another month

Unless you have a HEATED greenhouse, sowing cucumbers now will lead to weak leggy plants that wouldn't thrive even in an unheated greenhouse or polytunnel.
@downtoearthwithjim2 сағат бұрын
That would help but not necessarily. I have an unheated greenhouse. I sowed my cucumbers mid February last year, and moved them to the Greenhouse end of April. No problems and I live in the North

@downtoearthwithjim Great but don't the plants get too big and unmanageable being indoors between Feb and April? Also, how do they cope with night time temperatures? Genuinely interested, not just being critical ☺️
