Love the edit Chris and the use of the bleach bypass. Shows how it can really enhance a black and white photo. I think the engine is a radial engine. Not sure of the plane, thought it was a Ford Trimotor but that has the wing at the top of the fuselage. But anyway a great tutorial. Thanks for sharing. Take care.

Chris: Outstanding job as always. Hearing you talk thru the why's of doing what you do is always helpful. I don't work in B&W too much, but I hope I can recall this when I do. That name bleach bypass is funny. Bleach makes things white, but if you bypass it, does it affect anything? Just my weird brain thinking. Looking forward to all you bring and when 24 hits, I hope you'll be putting out a ton of content on it since you have beta-tested it. Enjoy the rest of the week and take care of yourself.

Hey Danny thanks for the comment and I hope you do get to experiment with this. In short the Bleach Bypass is a reference to a chemical process used in exposing film. In developing film there is a little silver from the emulsion process. To remove the sliver you would need to use bleach, and it would leave you with a more pure look. If you bypass the bleach process, it leaves the sliver on the image and has a very distinct look. Software just tries to mimic that process by adding some extra contrast and allowing the user to add some colorization.

Your links to the Unsplash photographs almost never work. They only point to a page where the image used invariably does not reside and cannot be found despite a lot of searching. Why can't you just post a link to the specific image?

Thank you for this feedback! I had no idea that you were getting an error. I tested the link in 8 of my most recent videos and now they should have this link: bit.ly/3Sdeuy8 which will remain the same. I use an album because it will be a folder of all the images that I use instead of linking to just one image. This also helps me during the upload and publishing process. I will keep an eye out to see if anything strange happens, but if you keep this link in your favorites, you will always have access to the collection I use on Unsplash. Please let me know if you continue to run into issues, and thank you for letting me know.

@@FreeWillPhotos Yes, but that link only opens the page called ON1 Tutorials by Christopher Scott. Nowhere on that page do I see this image, despite scrolling through it dozens of times and despite searching using many different terms and phrases.

Ok I understand, this photo is not from Unsplash. I took this photo and have not shared it. The collection that I link to is just a set of photos that you can use to practice on. I will be more clear about that in my future videos. Sorry for the confusion
