Fellow georgian here, i just found your channel, so i know it’s a bit late to comment , but still.. few facts i know about the towers- 1. They built the towers on high grounds, so they wouldn’t be easy to reach for the enemies. 2- svaneti, and northern georgia in general, is snowy, so they built the towers that tall, so the snow wouldn’t cover it( for example, if you build a house that’s like 3 meters tall the snow would totally cover it) and 3- in winter the family that had cattle ( usually almost everyone had) they would bring them into the tower so they wouldn’t die of cold. I am sure there is a lot of things that i still don’T know about the towers, because towers and the country itself has a very colmpex and interesting history, we have a saying that even a small stone has it’s story. Sorry for the long comment, but i always get excited when foreigners travel to georgia and are keen to know about it’s history and stuff so i can’t help myself 😅

That mountain at the end is not Shkhara, it's Tetnuldi aka the Queen of Svaneti. You can't really see Shkhara from Mestia.

Yeah it has recently been developed into a major skiing attraction as well. Shkhara, the tallest in Georgia, is the one you saw in Ushguli.

Man.... Shame u actually left georgia without visiting Tbilisi and cheking GEORGIAN food. Im talking about pure Georgian food and not Shaurma or something else which is turkish i think. Ive seen somewhere u said that ur coming back for Tbilisi , if so make sure to check pure Georgian food u cant meet anywhere else in ur travels, like: KHINKALI, KHACHAPURI,LOBIANI. etc. and more common around world like , MCVADI , fxali etcetc. visit some fancy restaurant in Tbilisi u can choose on TripadvisorDOTcom and u know what to do. GL!
