Of course, you have strength in numbers, but you’d need to first ascertain if you can trust them or are they rousing you to get your shit. Ideally you want to establish an eventual pact with a group of people you trust. Even friends now can turn into enemies later.

bro got 18 different weapons but no survival gear. gonna kill everything in sight and then die to the elements in 48 hrs 🤣 for real though, off the top of my head - life straw, nested metal canteen/pot, flint/lighter, tarp, rope would be a good starting point. most of that not too large or heavy. could easily remove multiple of your different cutting tools/weapons as they overlap each other if out of space.

Well I have water(bladder) and food(mre), so don’t need the straw or canteen, I have a fire starter and rope(in survival kit), poncho as the tarp. 72hrs is all I need. Then maybe return home for status and replenishment
