Hi GPS - Is there a distinction between Bash and Linux? My understanding is there are three major shells: CMD & Power Shell (both built by Microsoft for Window OS) and then Bash (built for Linux and Unix OS). However, I hear jargons like "Linux", "Linux Shell", "Linux Command", etc. Are they all referring to Bash shell? Or are there variety of Bash shells (Linux shells)?

@@johnvardy9559 i’m no genius in this field, but what I think is that we need to host the server for that we use virtual machine as we don’t want this to affect our personal system so we create virtual machine and host that server using that virtual machine. in virtual machine we can use any operating system but we don’t have much options either we can use windows or linux but windows is not optimal for this stuff so we use linux. In linux it is much more efficient and secure. i’m just a newbie so it might not be 100% true.

Hey GPS do I need to install Kali Linux on my Ubuntu machine to follow along with the Linux basis for hackers book?

Ideally yes. However you can probably get it done on Ubuntu. Might have additional things to install though.

Excelent video! I feel motivated, thank you! One suggestion, use better audio compression. That will level the volume at times when you speak with a little less volume. Keep up the good work! I really like your video.

Hi there, GPS is really an amazing stuff for the ones who feel a little bit lost and dont know what to do first in order to put all the efforts learning a subject matter like this. Im still at the beginning of my journey as a cloud engineer and still pursuing my az 900 foundation cert following the road map to reach out a devops status. I'm doing mcrosoft learning exercices to get a hands on experience using sandbox and it's available for free right, and it's extremelly helpfull to get familiar with the plataform. Gwyneth I've saved many of your videos in mp3 in my iphone and i'm learning a bunch of cool stuff here...Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge Gwyneth...i appreciate all the efforts you have put on this content giving a valuable contribution to the cloud community, specially the newbies....just keep it up.....Greetings from Rio, Brazil!..;)
