Thanks for the link Ry. I just ordered one. It’s long passed time that I retire my old Food Saver. It’s worked well over the years, but gets so much use it’s on it’s last leg. Here’s a lil tip I learned from the FS about moist/wet sealing. Use a fresh, CLEAN paper towel folding it lengthwise to fit the width of the bag and try to position it slightly behind that heating strip without touching the food inside. You want that bag, plastic against plastic so it seals properly, so placing a clean, dry paper towel behind the seal, as you pulse you eliminate and accidental overflow. So just cut your bag a little bit bigger, you don’t want it to catch in/on the heating strip and you don’t want it touching your food. It’s just a lil insurance if ya can’t get your timing right with pulsing. Hope this helps someone.

Dang just bought a 50 dollar one a couple of months ago. That pulse changes everything. I also do cooked vegetables ( peas , beans)and chili with my sealer. It is a chore to time the seal and vacuum without that pulse.

It is a replacement strip for the one thats already in the sealer

really good review. Can this unit support sealing a finished brisket? Is it just a matter of pulling the bag size to the appropriate length?

Yes this can seal a finished brisket as long as you have a bag that will fit. I usually seal up my leftover brisket but I will cut the brisket into chunks before sealing.

I have never had a food sealer. I need to seal a trimmed, but whole, 15LB uncooked packer brisket. Can this machine do that? Do i need some kind of special expandable bag? I enjoy all your content. Thanks

A 15lb brisket might be a little to big to fit in the sealer bag depending on the shape of it and how much you trim off it. If you can fit it into a bag this machine would be able to a work

Great review, thanks! Bought this same one and works great most of the time. Few times though I found air has leaked in. Starts off perfectly sealed but after few days no longer vacuum sealed. Any tips please? Or do you think it's faulty? TIA 😊

I have experienced the same thing occasionally but only once in awhile. I would try doing a double seal. after it seals just use the seal function again. I usually do this anyway just as an extra measure. I hope this helps

What do you do with the foam strips??? I have watched heaps of these videos , no-one shows what to do with the foam strips. It is not even mentioned in the user manual.

The foam stripes are a replacement piece for if the ones in the sealer get worn out.

I just got mine from Amazon. It doesn’t seem to turn on …. The trouble shooting booklet says ‘be sure to press the power button on the back to ‘ON’ but I can’t find it. Had it plugged in for 5-10 minutes and no lights. Also, it did not come with the vacuum cable. It was packed well and the box did not appear to have been opened…. Texting seller next.

It sounds like you got one that someone returned. As soon as you plug it in it should light up, mine does not have a on off button
