That’s a cool mod! Just loaded my new Lucas gun and ready to grease the main rear suspension pivot linkage, on my new Santa Cruz Tallboy 4 Mtn bike. Sweet grease gun!

They make a fitting that just presses onto the zerks i like them better than the lock lube push on pull off simple no levers to squeeze or twist

I’ve been thinking about getting one of those… $30 seemed like a lot when a LockNLube grease gun and tip combined are only like $60. I ordered a similar Chinese version on eBay for like $12 so I’m hoping I don’t regret cheaping out! Time will tell🤞🏼

Thank you! I know nothing about grease guns and this was really helpful. (need one for grease nipples on horse trailer). Anyways I will be getting the LockNLube grease gun that comes with that head. Next up, figuring out best grease to buy. Thanks again!

I'm not affiliated with them so if I did drop a link, I would have to add a disclaimer. It's pretty easy to find though on Amazon the Great. Lol

That looks like a quality set up bro BUT, how much do you have in that thing now? From what you said in tne video I came up with about a hundred bucks. 40 for the gun, 30 for the lock n lube, 10 for the needle and you didnt say how much the new hose was so lets just say around 15. Thats a lot of damn money for something that is rarely used and you can get as cheap as 20 dollers. Ill just let walmart grease my stuff lol.
@Bluelightbandit4 жыл бұрын
You've got a valid point, Terry! No, this isn't for everyone like yourself. Obviously if you don't use a grease gun hardly ever, then you probably won't have any interest in this. I'm not a professional mechanic but I do conduct preventive maintenance on vehicles, tractors, lawn mowers among other things and after my experience the other day with the OEM coupler, this product is a godsend! Yes, I do have around a hundred bucks in it but that's okay. It will probably last a lifetime and make my life easier at the same time. Not to mention that I know my bearings and such have been properly greased by myself and not someone else that may have taken a shortcut or something. Thanks!
@terrygoins46234 жыл бұрын
@@Bluelightbandit Fair enough brother. I guess I should do stuff like that myself. Ive just never worried about things like that. Like i said, walmart hooks me up with changing my oil, lube and filling up my fluids for cheap while i sit in a air conditioned waiting area.

@@terrygoins4623 I can't tell you the last time that I've been in a Walmart. I try to avoid it at all costs. To each his own my man. I'm just the type of man that will do something myself if I can, rather than pay someone else to do it for me. I like working with my hands and I know the job will be done correctly. Plus, doing maintenance like this can dramatically increase the life of your equipment.

Great set up 😀 0nly thing better is a battery powered grease gun 😉

You're right, I was actually looking at a Milwaukee grease gun after I bought this. I'm currently switching over to the Milwaukee battery platform so I already have the battery for it. I've never used a battery powered one, I bet they're really nice. I wonder if the coupling is the same as what I changed out or if they use a totally different system?
@goldbearbunny47874 жыл бұрын
@@Bluelightbandit I worked at a place where we had to keep our trucks greased daily and weekly for a total greasing and i bought my own battery powered gun lol every one else was jealous. I would imagine you could use everything on a new battery set up you might want to see what kind of PSi your hoses and fitting are and what psi your new gun puts out
@stacking4fun4074 жыл бұрын
I have no use for this stuff but I watched it anyway. Ive never even touched a grease gun before and wouldn't know the first thing about it or even what to do. You could make a video showing how to do this type 0f stuff.
