No experience modding, but I really dig the looks of that one. I've always liked hogue grips on everything, so that'd be the only thing I could suggest if their available. It'd be cool to see your choices and progress with whatever you come up with, and some range footage of it in action. I hope you get some suggestions that get you where you wanna go also.

I ran my new S180 five (5) hours then removed the Easy Change 30 second oil change filter. I converted it to a conventional filter and drain tube. Took about 30 minutes. No more $54 oil filter and leaving 2/3 of old dirty oil in the engine. I just replaced the throttle lever on my X500 it’s been garage kept for 12 years, despite that the handle got brittle and snapped off. I also have a 30 year old GT262 I’ve replaced the throttle on too. It seems to be a JD thing.

What smith is that. I thought some m&p but the white lettering so bold up.front threw me off n made me think a older model. Very smooth slide too newer stuff got all kinds of serrations and grooves to appeal to the tom brady baby hands type of shooters...lol. so im really lost if i was pinpointing that model

This is basically the same thing as uv resin. It's not meant to work on many of the items you're testing. From my experience years ago, this uv "glue" is excellent to use with glass, but not so great on things like metal or wood. I have used Bondic to completely replace a large hole in a glass vase (tape off back of hole to get the correct shape then add and cure the bondic in thin layers). Holds water with no leaks. As with any repair job, it's all about using the correct product to make the repair. Like you wouldn't use wood glue on wiring that requires soldering. You wouldn't use rubber cement to make a structural repair to wood or metal. So while this is a review of Bondic, it's not necessarily a legitimate review when it's being tested on items it's not intended to work on. And as others pointed out, surface prep also makes a big difference for it working or failing. After using uv resin for a while now and it being basically the same as bondic while also costing significantly less money for more product, I'd skip the bondic and go for uv resin.

Fair enough. But I believe the infomercials that I saw back then boasted the product to work on a wide variety of materials, which included the ones in the video. Thanks for the feedback!

Honestly I'm on the fence about coverting back to a regular filter. I'm in my 60's and I have always done maintenance on everything I own. On the one hand, I like the idea of new oil and filters but on the other hand, like you, I value my time. I only use my E150 about once a week for 6 months and the EZ change system was a big selling point for me. I bought it 4 years ago and change the filter once a year and it has run every year with no problems. I can replace blades and all that other stuff if necessary but I would rather enjoy my Saturdays doing other things than doing a full oil change on a lawn tractor.

I noticed the antiscalp wheel is close to the back tire,I have a 2023 John Deere s160 basicllay the same mower/tractor.I have had a challenge trying to keep it from scrubbing the bolt against the rear tire, and tried lowering all the antiscalp wheels 1 bolt hole lower, and tightening the front deck hanger ,and it still scrubs. The brackets all seem to be in good form, and shape. Anybody out there with a similar situation ?. I still love the performance of the tractor and my Dad also uses it to service his yard.
