I really like the Altoids tin-sized survival tin. I'm looking more into it because it sounds like it is well planned. I currently carry an altoids tin as a mini first-aid kit, I think it's the perfect size for it, especially if you carry a tourniquet separately.

When you opened that up, I almost thought I was looking at my own kit 😄 I've been very happy with the Maxpedition Mini, though. I also carry a Leatherman (Wave+), the SAK nail clipper (I also have an Uncle Bill's sliver gripper, since it's so small and thin, but a much better tweezers than the SAK), and the same Nitecore battery. I use a mini sharpie instead of a full-sized, and a smaller Rovyvon light to save on space. I like having a small metal pill box/tube of some sort for some basic painkillers, antacids, and antihistamines one might need while out and about. I would recommend the Rolling Square InCharge X rapid charging cable. Much smaller and compact than all the cables you have, with USB-A, USB-C, USB-mini, and a Lightning. In my personal preference, that butane lighter would be way too big for a small pouch carry. I was using a regular Bic with a silicone FireNest to keep it from leaking, but I found that even too big, so I downsized to a mini Bic with a few wraps of Gorilla tape. I also usually carry a small fishing magnet and a few feet of micro-paracord, which has come in handy many more times than I ever would've thought, from retrieving dropped bolts and screws, to retrieving keys from toilets and drains, to (most recently) being able to find one of my wife's tiny earring backers that had popped off and fallen in the grass. I've never carried a prybar either, but I just got a Gerber Prybrid on sale for under $10 (couldn't resist), so I'm going to try working into my EDC. We'll see how that goes. Good vid, nice pouch, nice kit. Well done :)

If i didnt have two bags similar already id buy one of these. I actually use my climbing carabiners for hanging my bags and other things. Figured i have them might as well use them since im not climbing these days.

the nailclip 580 is actually a different size than normal victorinox knives, the scissors are also different- the spring, and also the blades are serrated

Yup, those are Wenger scissors, very different from regular Victorinox scissors.

The 580 is my EDC, and, having carried the smaller Victorinox, I find the 580's micro-serrated scissors inferior. And the width with the clippers was quite the surprise - practically the same width as the full-size SAK. But I use the clippers often, and they're really nice.

Nice, I'm gonna add a Heroclip to mine also. I recommend to switch to an Incharge X 6in1 cable if you don't know them to safe place. Like the rest of your Loadout very much. 👍

The scissors on the Victorinox Nail Clip are actually Wenger scissors, significantly different than regular Victorinox scissors because they are serrated. Do not cut many materials as well.

Thanks for sharing this! Super cool! Does you have the roaring fire backpack? It looks awesome very similar to the GR1 but honestly better with the water bottle pouch and clasps on the side to attach a blanket etc.

To my way of thinking, the advantage of waxed canvas is esthetic - it just looks classier. But if I can't wear it out in the open, what's the point?

If you're running this bag what's in your pockets? Would it just be redundancy? or would your main EDC being your pockets and the bag would be redundancy?
@ThatGuy-sc5rx
@ThatGuy-sc5rx 9 ай бұрын
For my uses its definitely redundancy unless I was needing it for quickly switching between bags like a med, tool or electronics accessories kit. Otherwise edc in my opinion should be what you can carry in your pockets. Otherwise just put it in a sling or backpack.

I don’t think it compares to the Nutsac but…I do think it would be very useful. I love the waxed canvas and yes you probably have it “overstuffed”! But nothin’ wrong with that 🤣🤦‍♀️ #Battalion
