We used to have a store similar to this that went out of business, but it was mainly stuff from Amazon . Sometime they had shelf food items. Their prices went from $10,8,6,5,4,2 and 75cents. I miss it!

We have several ‘bent and dent’ stores in our little area. Food and usually just about anything else, including health care and beauty supplies. Price depends on the ownership of the store. Some stuff is out dated, but not by a lot. I spoke to one of the owners of the shop and she told me that she orders banana boxes filled with items. They don’t really know what they’ll get and often times it’s hit or miss. It’s a good way to help people though and also keep the food and products out of the landfills for the most part.

Exactly what I was thinking about expiration dates. I have shopped at stores with soon to or recently expired goods and I don't mind on most items especially these when they are only 25 cents!

Not all of it, if you watch closely you will see many organic items, several were cereals, including the mini shredded wheat from Quaker!! These are about 4 hours from us, but I'd be willing to drive that far maybe once a month for either/both Thursday/Fri. Years back I shopped at stores in this area that had overstocks, freight damaged (great place for disposable diapers!!!!!), was much the same, you never knew what you would find when you went in. I did notice many items of a brand that one of the local grocery stores stocks that's a really good quality, with the Golden Gate bridge logo on it. Those items are really expensive in the stores. Definitely going to have to see about getting a "foraging" trip planned for which ever store is closest. Thanks so much for the fantastic information. Maybe there's a possibility of getting a store opened somewhere closer, since there's nothing like it around, it would do very well here!!!!!
