Hi all! Foundation update! Turns out the extra grippy primer and the extra powdering did help keep this foundation in place way beyond 5 hours. So that is good news! I’m not a fan of using that much powder in order to be able to use a foundation, however good to know for those who are wanting to try this and worried about the longevity. Powder away my friends! Xo

@@painttheface Hi Rhoda, I was wondering if you would like to do an RMS review with their new ReDimension Hydra Bronzer and blushes? The blushes look gorgeous, but nowhere near as luminous as the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch ones and the bronzers look divine! I am in dire need of a new bronzer and blush this summer and having the hardest time deciding on one!🌸

Lovely roundup, like hearing other people's opinions and how they use different products. Just an opinion, but I find most of the CT packaging lacking, especially for the price.

I found the Fenty settled into pores and lines and no matter how much powder, it felt sticky. I always use primer (tried several). I took it off and put on my normal NARS even though I wasn’t leaving the house. I just didn’t like the way it felt. Thanks for the honest reviews!!

You are so welcome! I didn’t find the Fenty to be sticky per se .. like the HD hydra glow… that one was really sticky. Ah good old NARS for the save! My fave is the Light Reflecting .. love that one.

@@painttheface can’t beat the light reflecting from Nars! It’s the standard for me! I went through just about every one I could try and Nars won hands down. What’s your favorite pore filling primer? I love the tarte one in the pot but always looking! The benefit is good too but not as intense as the tarte timeless smoothing primer. Playing around with the tarte poreless. So far so good!

@@GracefulAnswers My fave pore filling primer is also the Tarte Timeless in the pot - the only other one i love so much is the Glowish Blur Jam, it’s more jelly like but works really well - BUT Huda is discontinuing that line, so i may stock up on a couple, and also don’t want to recommend something that being discontinued! I haven’t tried the benefit, although I’ve been meaning to!

This was GREATTT!!! I feel the way you feel with gloss ,balm lip products but with glowy products. You like the CD glow star filter then the merit glo sticks and then the other CD glow maximizer. Its alot and not sure where to start. If you had to pick your favorite which would it be? I'm thinking CD star filter but if i get that do you feel it gives enough glow you dont have to add anything on top of that?

Thank you! I feel you on the confusion!!! Ok, so for glowy products - I LOVE the CD star filter there is a subtle glow that comes through from underneath your foundation. You can also wear it on its own as well. You can also use it for highlight! The Merit and the glow maximizer is would use exclusively as highlight, personally. The Merit you can also add all over your face, but if i had to pick between the merit and the CD star filter i would go with CD for all over the face because it’s a little less creamy and less “highlightery” you know? It just as a glowy filter .. i hope im making sense! If you are looking for a base product that adds glow my suggestion is the CD star filter. Let me know how it goes!!!!!!!

In my older years looking for a flattering glowy skin at hightpoints that looks like it's coming from within in my skin. The kind that back in the day we say "maybe she is born with maybe it's Maybelline" 🤭😂

Do you think the Makeup Forever palette would work for someone super fair and cool toned?

Hi! It’s pretty neutral with a couple of warmer complexion bronze shade.. the lightest shade may work depends on how fair you are.. I would swatch in store if you can just to make sure ..it says it’s for fair to medium skin tones but unless I can see how fair you are I don’t want to say yes definitely .. I hope that helps!!!!!

@@GracefulAnswers that’s too bad! (Not that you’re reflective, lol, but that it might not work for you!) If you ever have the chance to swatch it it’s worth a try. Right now there are only two versions to choose from, hopefully they extend the line to include a lighter one and an even deeper one - that would be perfect.
