You NEED To See The Forever Winter Like This...

In the The Forever Winter Immersive Gameplay, I go in solo to the Scorched Enclave with no HUD and try to find a Gatcha box which supposedly hold the best loot and are rare to come by. This new extraction shooter has an incredible atmosphere and is even better at high graphics with no hud gameplay.

The map with the huge piles of bodies reminded me of the movie Mad God. Actually the protagonist in that movie is just some basic clone dude lowered into hell with just one objective and there is an eternal war waging and you’re just trying to sneak through.

look up the videos of this game by Riloe, he himself was surprised when he was talking to the devs about how this game reminded him of this or that movie and the devs literally shot out with saying "Oh yeah! Phil Tipett, Mad God!" and he was literally mind blown by the devs reply.

Even tho its unfinished, I appreciate the developers honesty for saying upfront "This is not finished" and were hesitant to put it up but did so due to fan requests. Honestly even for what we're seeing right now, this game has captivated me in ways no other game in the past years have for its aesthetic and unique atmosphere alone. 16:10 magic flying tank to the right.

considering we have mechs that are 1000x the size and weight of a T-90 in this game, plus a giant goth mommy that dwarfs even them, so seeing a T-90 getting chucked half way across the map by them is very believable, especially when considering that these mechs wrestle with giant robot leopards all the time.

First spot at 1:47, near sand bags. The second spot at 6:30 whaere you found one. The third spot is the locked bunker, you need to hack the door. The fourth spot is the tower near central area (medical supplies box often spawns inside, gachas replace large lockboxes on the other side of the wall). I'd use tac cam if I were you, gacha boxes really stand out thru it. As I understand there's almost always one spot with that box, times when gachas doesn't spawn at all are rare.

Despite Euruskan Medium Mechs look like oversized soldiers, I consider Grabbers and Toothy are more terrifying. The idea of being digested as biofuel or being torned to pieces it's horrible, like most of things that can happen to you in this game.

Toothy once wrecked full squad of tanks and 2 mediums with ease These are walking disasters yet they actually somewhat apathetic towards players unless you come close or was spotted close to Euruskans commander - they serve as body guards quite often As for rogue AI Toothies... it is a different story

Good video! There are only two spots to get that loot box that I just taught a friend how to find them. Wish I could show you how to find them, you do know already where one spot is though! Edit: looks like you found both locations and yep they sometimes don’t spawn in 🤷‍♂️ something I hope they patch so they’ll Always spawn somewhere even in the bunker.

Haha yeah they should be random IMO. You shouldn't be able to reliably farm anything in this game I feel. But the. Maybe that would be super frustrating, I dunno.

I really need to try no hud. Or use a mod for the Hud hotkey. But i guess stuff like this will come to game regardless. What i really like is when you got shot, it feels way more brutal, because you just die and there is no huge red blarring notifications you died. Way better without the Death Screen! Love this game.

Yeah drop the hud mate go wild it's way more immersive! It's harder but I think it's worth it.

if it has a hotkey for the UI then you can just bind it to your mouse programmable keys or you keyboards G keys.

0:44 - If you go straight at where you're looking, there's a little monument thingy in the middle of the walkway. There is either explosives, a gacha box, or nothing there. Also the troops there normally get instantly distracted by a battle so you can go through pretty safely.

yeah when you get that fallout whiteout it is always cyborgs only. they are really tough and you have to be quiet at all costs or get swarmed. There is almost no enemies on the map so they are just standing around looking for anything to kill. I just smack everything and hope I dont alert them. Also if you like playing with no hud pay attention to the heart beat sound it means you are about to die. Also the brawlers which are the bulky guys with the box heads and no weapon can usually take you out with a hit or two at full health and they got thousands of HP. so you gotta run but you cant outrun the cyborgs so you get kinda screwed once they are on you. I have found if I can climb over a wall or ledge it will take them time to go around so I have time to make distance but the brawler tend to keep tracking and will eventually catch up.

This really needs some kind of minimal HUD option. No HUD seems like suicide. Default HUD is horrible.

my main problem with no hud is aiming at object to interact is impossible. the point it uses is off center so I cant even aim reliably at items knowing they are in the center. I hope they take a hint from the mods and make various levels of hud or just have options to turn off pieces of it. the quest info I really dont need when I'm trying to sneak around.

Yeah I feel like you should get more xp or better loot if you go without hud as it's quite a bit harder. Love it though. Deffo the only way I will play it.

Yeah I did get some noticeable drops on first day or so but seems to be resolved. it 100% needs some serious optimisation though to get it running better.

I am able to play with occasional frame drops on a Ryzen 7 7800x3d & 4070 w/ 120 framerate cap. My utilization is 100% for GPU & CPU gets pretty high (80% ish). By default raytracing is on though, and there is a way to disable it

@ChrisTeeGaming looks good from a distance but bad up close. More important is the janky way things move around, fall over when dead, thumb levitating inches from the gun you're holding, etc. Needs work.

the graphics are a complicated mix of really really good, and very unfinished, which i think is pretty reasonable for something that's still VERY early in early access.
