SMSL dacs still having issues through optical? I've been hearing SMSL optical cuts every few minutes. Apparently, this is a known issue.

I have the full smsl x200 triple stack. The speaker amp rocks, the headphone amp is as he says. The DAC has a bug where the signal inverts left and right channel in balanced mode. Requires reselecting it in windows. Otherwise it's the most amazing, and I'm not really sure I want anything else.

I have the AO 200 speaker amp and HO 200 headphone amp as well, but run them off an IFI Zen DAC which I already owned. Cant convince myself to drop $500 just to have them all be matching, since it all sounds great to me as-is.

Sup Z, I am listening to this on my MT 602 hybrid tube amp (schiit dac) paired with the Hifiman XS and I am in love (using . Curious how you would compare the 602 to this tube amp as far as sound quality goes and also how would you summarize the XS vs the Ananda? Cheers mate! P.s. I'm swap stock tubes the 5654w tubes from riverstone audio on amazon.

With the HDMI input on the SMSL, could one use the HDMI audio output from a Blu-ray player to decode the PCM signal? My player has a dedicated HDMI for audio and one for video.

It's not exactly a source, but Douk Audio does sell a USB-to-I2S converter. I have no idea how useful that would actually be though. Does I2S allow for longer cable runs like balanced?

@@SumbaListens I've been a zeos subscriber for years and I do think he can be a little misleading in his recommendations. I think the guy has a point saying most zeos' reviews are positive. I wouldn't personally rely on his word only... I do think his videos are entertaining but not very informative

Every product I review, love or hate has an affiliate link. If I don't like a product you can bet your ass I will recommend another product in said video with an affiliate link right next to it and if I mention Tampons in the review that will also get one.. I don't see the problem. I am as unbias as it comes baby. Just really opinionated.
