Agree with the sentiment totally, but I think "Jerks" scans better and family friendly 🤓👌💩

That´s one of the thousand of advantages of living in the same country where the car is born... Loads of parts... resources and occasionally the forgotten prototypes... Awesome build Kakarikas!!!

It’s funny looking back here in the US, I had a Lincoln/Mercury Saab dealer near me. Maybe 5 Saabs on lot, one of them a white 97 9000 Aero. Always been a fan and intrigued by the unique aspects of Saab. But being a boutique manufacturer they got the short end of the stick. Who would (they said) pay 40,000+ for a 4cyl, when you could get a comparable V6/8 for same money? They didn’t tell you how much ahead Saab was in its engineering. And everyone thought they were a pain to work on because the engine must be in backwards like the early 80-90’s 900. The 2.3 is a pretty easy engine to work on, and I’m glad Saab decided to make it that way for the DIY guys and gals. I called a local garage to get a quote on replacing the spark plugs ( knowing I could do myself) on my 05 9-5, and the owner said “we don’t work on Saabs.”

Sad story in the end :/ Saab has always walked their own path, might be part of the reason they dont exist... But still awesome to cary on The legacy of the brand that gave so much. Like Trionic 5/7 is just a masterpeice of engenering by itselft 💯🙏

Hi Jonas, Fantastic news that the parts will fit with a bit of fettling. As you have more jam than Hartley's (English expression meaning you're very lucky), you should rush out and buy a Lottery ticket! Seriously though, well done on the work so far and it's as good to get a quick update as it is to get a longer video. If I could make a suggestion and that is to document what parts you use with suppliers and part numbers if possible as you'll need to replace bits in the future and trust me when I say that as you get older, things slip away and if you sell the car, the new owner will appreciate the information.
@JonasKakarikas2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, its a good thought. Its a little bit of extra job putting in links and stuff. But many of the parts are being bought used and then its really Hard to refer to anything But a partnumber maybe. 👍

A moog adjustable arm would probably fit the the top arm if the spindle was shortened to fit top rather than bottom are you polybushibg the top and bottom rose bushes
@JonasKakarikas2 жыл бұрын
Everything will be polybushings 👌💯
@tompayne49452 жыл бұрын
The outer rose joints are far better than a polybush. I assume you're talking about the inners? For a rear drive track car I'd consider spherical 'rose joints' which will take more abuse. I would be most concerned about the trailing arm to sill bushes though. They are going to be pushing the whole car along, as opposed to standard where they are taking braking loads at most.

Passar inte omega bak axel?
@JonasKakarikas2 жыл бұрын
Nej tyvärr, den är rätt annorlunda i design, upphängning osv. Plan B var att ta hela golvet från en omega så man flyttar med alla infästningar. Men ser inte ut att behövas 😎
