Excellent review with beautiful macro photography. The glittering rose gold and steel combination is stunning. I am one who enjoys the asymmetric nature of the 'Palm' motif...it may well prove to be a contentious design but slower sales will eventually make it more desirable!

Does Rolex do the same or something similar when working on its cases? Or is the whole process machine only from beginning to end. That's what I'm wondering about.

I'm reaching the point that I'm kinda fed up with Rolex and the AD playing their power games. After purchasing 6 luxury watches in the past few years at the same AD I'm on the list for a steel GMT Master II on Oyster. Almost impossible to get according to the AD and I'm privileged to be allowed to even order one. Meanwhile the grey dealer in the same street as the AD has sold 7 (!) of these wachtes brand new with warrantee cards May, June and July 2021 in the past 2 months. Almost same story for my wife's turqoise OP41 she's been waiting for since October last year. Makes you wonder how that's even possible doesn't it? She has reached the point where the watch isn't special to her anymore and she wouldn't mind at all if the order was cancelled completely. Way to go Rolex.

2 things - your wife has a large wrist ! and yes they definitely need to get on top of their ADs. It isn't working and we know many of those ADs are corrupt and service the grey market. Demand does outstrip supply but too much supply is going to the grey market

It is a nice watch, but to me the motif is a bit too much. it should be a sophisticated if not understated, elegant watch and it dominates the design too much to let the subtle details shine, which is a negative in my eye. i do like the one with the blue fluted dial though, in white gold, with fluted bezel, that just suits the whole watch so much, it only brings out its features replicating the blinky effect of the bracelet and the bezel with the dial but still not dominating the whole design. that said, if anyone gave me this watch id take it :D

Are you sure wrist size is 6.5"? Maybe you're measuring wrong. It looks wider than 6.5".

6.5” is the circumstances of the wrist, not the width. The width is 55mm. My wrist is wide/flatter so it looks bigger than 6.5” size. If your wrist is not 55mm or is under in width; then the watch will wear larger on you regardless of what’s the circumference of your wrist is.
