I just discovered there are GHS strings and Pepe Romero strings that will turn your Tenor Ukulele into a Baritone. They aren’t widely marketed but if you search you can find them. I ordered a couple sets to transform a custom Ana’ole Tenor into a “baby baritone”.

Several years ago I found an Aquila baritone string set that works for me. I still have the Pepe Romero strings but never used them. Tenor tuned DGBE works! Aquila 21-U baritone ukulele strings are the ones I use to string a tenor DGBE.

I have a Kala baritone. I guess I will stick with that.😊😊😊

I know that you are trying to cut down, but I emailed you some photos of my new Alston concert! Such a lovely gloss for a low price!

I got your pictures and you're right, that's a pretty uke and a great deal. I'll be selling some of my beauties so I don't plan to buy more regardless of the beauty or deal. I may share your pictures, though. Thanks!

@@richdavis4007 I understand, I was just wowed with how they managed to get such a beautiful instrument for so cheap! It's definitely up there with Caramel and Hricaines ukes.

Six years ago you wouldn't have seen such ukuleles available under $140. I don't know how they do it.

…i know you are playing the devils’ advocate in this post…did you not itemize your own collection a few days ago at 4 standards, 2 dozen concerts, 2 dozen tenors and a dozen baritones…if i only owned two examples of those things i consider of value, i would kill myself…having said that, i have used the same leather strap on my bass and guitar since 1972 when i bought it from a street vendor in Vancouver…lol…(but i now own several uke straps to make up for it)…

At one point I thought people needed about 10 ukuleles, one for every size and a different one for each tuning, but since I discovered the capo that reduces the number actually needed. Capo also turns baritone into a big-bodied soprano! I tip my cap to you for your economy and good sense! Rich
