Agreed. A very good point. I also felt that, after re-listening to the original version of “You Oughta Know” by Ms Morissette, the singer sounded outraged and extremely wounded about her lover abandoning her. The anger and rage that the singer made me feel was extraordinary. The new version with soft violins and a very emotional but quieter vocal performance made me feel wounded and deeply hurt. I cried after listening to both versions of this song by one of the most gifted singers EVER. ♥️

And me, steeped in the old greats, a gift from mom, R&B, Hip Hop and Rap, Classic Rock, and a sprinkle of the ever growing POP music? I get lost in the world of irony, rejection, seeing through guys who wanted to "Play golf with my ass," imagining "head-over-feet," and throwing the peace sign. Ah-Alanis Morrisette. -upon waking, getting ready for my first class, and when I returned, at twilight, to relax. Thank you, whoever you are.
