When I was at the mansion, waiting for my husband, the general to come home after a big war. It was the day they come back and I was so excited to see him after parting for a year. His face, covered in angry red markings and hiding a sly smirk as he kissed up her arm. His lips twisted as he whispered sweet nothings up into her ear, the words slithering like a viper and feeling just as poisonous. She raised a hand up, one decorated with ruby rings and golden bands. Her cream-colored fingers touched his fiery hair, the color her favorite and yet the most despised one in her heart. She watched quietly, her golden hues staring with amusement, as the red locks slid between her fingers, each one softer than the last. However, as his hair slipped between her grasp, she slowly sat up, letting it fall out of her hands and back onto the comfortable fur blanket around them. She let one hand remain behind her, helping her to stabilize her body in that moment. She let her other hand splay itself across the bed, her red painted fingertips catching the edges of the fur, staining them a deep crimson as well. Ah... that was not paint, now, was it? No. It was blood. Blood of one of her jewels lying beside her bed. He was dead, his hands missing and most likely somewhere in the room. She shed a small glance towards the body before looking at her lover of the hour... her advisor. He stared back up at her, his black sclera and red pupils blown wide with ecstasy. Of course, he was not her lover by choice... no, he never had been. He was the one who dragged her into this, who made her who she was. "... leave me. Clean this mess... I am tired Respin..." Her voice was soft, holding an edge of a desperate tone. She wanted him gone for now. Perhaps he had some way of influencing her that she just had not figured out yet. He was an excellent tactician, a man with a silver tongue, and one who knew exactly how to destroy an enemy from the inside out. Her body flinched involuntarily as she felt the bed shift. A hand wormed its way up her back, black claws lightly dragging themselves up and leaving soft red scratches behind. That same hand made its way into her golden locks, pulling on them slightly and forcing her to turn her head back to him. "Of course, Your Majesty... I could never disobey your words my loving queen..." The breath she was holding escaped her lips, a frigid chill brushed across the edges of her body as he moved swiftly off the bed. He gave her one of his smiles... the kind that always made her stomach twist up into knots. If it was not for him... if he had never done this to her... she was happy! She had been! The youngest daughter of the Hearts' Empire. The sweetest one, the most beloved... she had four elder sisters... each fighting for the crown in their own way, but she was left alone... for she was too young to inherit it... but the people adored her... and they clamored for her to be the next empress. Her sisters, jealous and stuck in misery, plotted against her. And... and Respin... he came to her... he whispered sweet words in her ear... he promised her everything if she did as he said. Just mixed a lot of concepts and cooked up a story while listening to this playlist. They are really cool!💖 It was almost as if you lived another life. Your mornings for the past few years have been filled with scenarios, otherworldy places, and faces that you have never seen or felt before. As you put your coffee to heat you can't help but compare the monotonous life you lived in your conscious state to your mystic subconscious. You were probably drawn more and more to them every passing night; especially him. His voice, the way he smiles, his long flowy attire, the way he always paints under that tree near the pond in the royal gardens, and the way you admire him through the huge windows from your palace chambers. the way he gently held your hand while teaching you a new brushstroke, the way you could feel the curves of his lips, the way he felt against your fingertips. Even though everything else felt like a dream, your beloved was the only thing that felt almost real, lingering around you even when you were wide awake, fully functioning, working, and... "Are you listening to me or not?, You don't ever seem to pay attention to me Hina, what's with you these days?"..... on dates. Your boyfriend entirely disrupted your trail of thoughts. Ah! yes, Jun the ultimate, he was introduced to you through a friend of a friend of a friend and You started dating him when you were still in college. He also ghosted you for about 4 dates before finally taking you seriously. “ Hina? Jesus Hina are you even here?! _No, I miss him, I want to see him again, I am going home._ “ What the fuck Jun will you let me breathe?, Plus why are you talking so much today, aren’t you usually too busy to even get some coffee with me? “ I am trying to make up for it aren’t I?” He replied angrily. _Goodbye._ ” I am a little tired today, lets's do this some other time”, you said and just left. Sometimes you were concerned for your mental health? Were you going crazy? sometimes you felt you were cheating on Jun with the man of your dreams. You even had a crazy theory that he was Jun from his past life but that quickly faded away when you slowly fell out of love with him. You didn’t know, what you were feeling, what you were seeing and why you were seeing them again and again except for one thing, you would even fight the nightmares those imperial courtyards sometimes gave you, if it meant seeing him once again. As you plopped on your bed ready to let go of the day and let yourself drift away you saw it once again…. The patterned beams and decorative exteriors, the bridge leading to your chambers, it was all the same "Princess, where have you been you have a guest, guess who" a familiar giggling voice called out for you, it was your lady in waiting Mei. " Your usual spot go ahead, I'll cover for you" _I know this usual spot, the northern side of the water gardens behind the back palace. That area is pretty uninteresting and secluded as it is far away from the chambers of the Empresses and consorts of the Imperial harem and according to Mei, easier to hide and escape right into the royal gardens before anyone caught us. I haven't yet figured out the situation around him and me but it must be forbidden according to the rules of the palace it seems._ As your feet ecstatically move forward to your location you couldn't help but sense something wrong. _Maybe the environment, Mei's statement, or even me. Maybe I'll see him and get better? As I make my way towards the gardens hiding from the back palace I see his tall figure standing there waiting for me. He embraces me tightly yet lovingly as soon as he sees me. Ha! It's baffling cause I have never been this happy and desperate to be in a man's arms. I guess we are a lot more closer and intertwined than I thought._ "I'm sorry princess but this will be the last day I will meet you here, I cannot see you anymore, this is the end". _Huh, what? wait a min I can"t._ Your legs felt jiggly, and your mind went blank, before you knew tears started forming in your eyes. A lot was going on in your mind but it constantly felt like you knew something, something you don't remember. "Before I go I just want you to know that my love for you will not be shaken by any external pressure, I don't care what Cheif son has to say or what the Empress Dowager is plotting against you, as long as you keep me in your heart I will return to you even as an unwanted man or even as dust. From the moment you ever touched me I have devoted my entire life towards you, Princess Lea." There, There it was! your sadness confusion and misery were slowly started to envelop with fear too. Your eyes were not just tears anymore it was mixed with terror. It was as if this name triggered something; your entire world started spinning, red smoky flames engulfed your surrounding, you wanted to run but your feet were ice-cold, your heart was pounding and your ears drowned in those same hellish screams that you dreaded the most. Those nightmares were here, those same things you always feared and disliked. Strangely this nightmare was not a deja vu anymore, the palace beams, the water gardens, those peculiar flower patterns on the walls, the imperial throne, the blood on your hands, empress dowager, and most importantly, your mother. You found yourself in that cursed imperial courtyard again as you wept uncontrollably, your name and his last words to you echoed in your brain, slowly becoming so painful that you were unable to breathe....until, a long silence embraced you, and you slipped into the time when it all began.

If I were an empress, I don't think I could survive that lifestyle. I would become insane from all the pressure placed upon me by the Imperial Court, having to watch what I do, where I go, and what I say, because I don't know who could be spying on me and how they will try and frame me; having to examine what I eat and drink, or the medicine that I consume, or the perfume that I use, because I don't know if it is poisoned; having to worry whenever I miss my menstrual bleeding because everyone will assume that I'm pregnant and will try extra hard to harm me and the child in my womb; and then having to guard my children closely as they grow, because I don't know who could be trying to harm them.

Once she took courage and decided to speak, she was looking the water lilies on the surface of a lake, the high & imposing figure of a weeping willow was giving her shadow & company, she admired the carps, she was hearing the melody of birds, a light breeze was giving pleasure, a nice smell in the air, the sound of glass bells were making the atmosphere more magical, then some steps broke the natural composition, it was him… he was emerging behind the porch column, he stopped & started to admire the same view or that’s what she thought, as always she didn’t take a glance, but his presence was force, she could feel from every inch of her body, the heart was pounding at thousand, the skin was sensitive, but then she felt a gaze, his eyes were changing the subject, he was staring at her and moved a little closer… he was standing right next to her, his profile figure was tall & calming, a sense of comfort but in a certain way of dizziness too, she could fell in any moment near him, she couldn’t stay composed, her personality, strong & charismatic was just an undercover, she was clumsy, insecure of herself, scared of life, she lost so many times but she still recompensed, her armor was solid but just the breath of him could make it crash & bring her heart to a natural state, without protection, naked & true, she didn’t want it, she was too afraid to trust someone, she has passed trough too much & her heart was full of scars which many of them never recovered at all, she was still bleeding under those bandages, she was still the little tiny girl but with a warrior attitude because she was the only one to protect that little figure, many tried to bring her down but she fought with all herself to not make it happens, she protected that little baby, dreamy & happy, she lost some pieces but she still keep it in her heart & mind; now everything seems to wreck down, she took the courage to watch him, to meet his destabilizing face gems, she saw the entire world in them, the time, the seasons, the tree’s leaves, the sun, the rain, the animals of forest & deserts, the war & the peace, she could feel everything she has never experienced, she saw a cold feeling too, she saw the snow, the ice , the winter himself, then a strange pain came in …. She downed her head, a knife was stuck in her womb, the heart start to pound more but it wasn’t what she believed, no the eyes for first lost all the light, the panic invested all the body, the mind was thinking so much but then stopped & became numb, the pain of the injury was hurting enough, she wanted to not feel nothing anymore, at least she stopped very thought but unfortunately the heart can’t be; the trust she gave for a sec vanished with the moment, his eyes were stiff, he seemed to not feel anything, an inexpressible face, the hand were still holding the weapon, the mouth was tight, grinning & breathing heavily, he was panicking too; her mind couldn’t bear at it no more, she started to lose the control of myself, she felt down, this time for really as she was usually to dream but unfortunately this wasn’t due to love, a wake & comfortable emotion, what she felt was pain & numb, she crashed to the floor, my eyes lost the gaze for a moment, she tried to open them again … for seeing him holding me, she could still feel his arms around my figure, his blood flows trough the veins, the breath was unceasing & she could feel it on my face, on my neck, his eyes changed, they finally turned in human form, unexpectedly they get got wet, he was crying, for what ? For what he did, for the shock he felt, or maybe due to her ? He was tightening his holding, she was impressed, then for the first time, she heard his voice, an angelic one paradoxically to the cruel person he was but she used to love him to much despite nothing never happened, she is still loving him in the point of death, her heart was beating for him, not for the pain, the gesture or the tragical situation, she wasn’t scared of death but about never seeing him again, what a pitiful person, how could she still feeling something for someone who has the hands of a killer ? How could she ? But that’s her nature, she is like life, her essence is to never give up, still move on & give than take, she didn’t want to dye with regret but still with that emotion of tenderness & caring, she wanted to keep in her memory him as a precious gift, she wanted to go with a smile on her lips, she wanted to leave life with the same way she came in, hopeful & radiant, she wanted to be satisfied despite have never experienced a true love, she came to the conclusion that it is not about someone, but how you feel, it is not that you find it in someone but in your own heart, indeed how it works when there’s a particular presence, the feeling of love is not due to person because first of all it came from you, from the inside, you have to discover yourself before realizing that your soul is shaking by someone standing near to you. You have to find your true self, to see in a clear mirror or a water surface her imagine, you’re and will always be the only one to understand yourself better than anyone else, that’s the conclusion she made in her last moments. The guy spoke and what she heard gave peace, he said : “ I’m sorry “ but it wasn’t an excuse, she could feel from his voice how much hurt him too was… how much breakable he was, she realized that he was having pain too, she has never saw so much suffering from someone, she could finally be understood. The same type of pain was shared, she accomplished her desire to be finally relatable, for real, for once, that’s what she thought before giving her last breath …. If you arrived till here, thanks !
