I'm not trying to speedrun camos or anything, but I do think the game sort of doesn't have that much content. It's a cod game, it's sort of meant to be simplisitc and unextensive in nature. The charm is just running around and shooting peope. I mean, that being said, it has the recipe for being a good cod imo, the maps just kinda suck, and so do the spawns. They're either small, which doesn't really fit with the fast paced movement, or they're big, which would work, if they weren't so open that get shot from across the map, 50 feet away, is a possibility.

That's my biggest complaint with this franchise 😂 I like to switch up my gun every few matches to keep me entertained but now in warzone you have like 50 assault rifles and there are maybe 2-3 that are viable in 50-50 fights like just balance the damage by fire rate and use the range for damage fall off ffs 😂

And it's not to achieve the highest prestige as fast as possible, to get the highest scorestreaks or to get any camos. I don't care about all of this. You say everything I think... Wonderful video! People way overreacted to the XP shenanigans. Especially since they were very clear in their expectations that they weren't carrying over. And TESTIFY on the "grind"! It's supposed to take you a "long" amount of time. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon. I find it crazy that people are complaining about weapon XP, when camos aren't tied to weapon levels anymore lol. Maybe that's just my bias being a zombies guy. Vanguard and Cold War's camo/xp grind was horrible. Restarting on round 10 was absolutely torture. AMAZING video!

It's strange because I think a lot of people understand why they didn't let tokens carry forward, but once they accidently added them all bets were off, there was no closing that pandora's box lol I also wonder if a lot of the 'grinding takes too long crowd' are mostly Warzone players where it genuinely can take a long time with how infrequently engagements happen + having to get your loadout every game. In MP you can get through your first 15 levels in about an hour, and in Zombies like you mentioned, just do a 20 round exfil and you've unlocked some decent attachments. I LOVE Kill Order tbh! the CoD community needs to stop hating on these new modes as if their original modes are going away lmao…I miss Cranked from Ghosts; Search & Rescue etc. and it’s nice to see Fracture from Black Ops 3 make a return in BO6 as Ransack. To add onto the grind discussion: funny thing about it is it actually HELPS the camo grind in the later phases such as the Mastery camos as when you’re the HVT; getting double kills, 3-5 kills on one life etc. is excessively easier. I don’t understand the hate for the mode just because it “ends quick” in Face-Off…i’m like: “mf ALL Face-Off games end in like 5 minutes what’s your point?” 😭 Seriously tho; bring back Cranked.

I also think the game balancing is kinda anti fun. It’s balanced so anything besides ARs and SMGs kinda suck like shotguns getting a bajillion hit markers or snipers having an insane amount of flinch so they lose long range fights to those ARs. There’s no more riot shield/rpg/c4 combos anymore or going crossbow with a ballistic knife or something wild like that. And they balanced it this way due to the influencers and the people with this grindset complaining because they can’t get their nukes against someone having fun. It makes me grieve what made call of duty actually fun. I just feel like I’m playing a ranked play match every time now. Have not seen trick shots in a fat minute, where they used to be in nearly every other game because the games now actively discourage it.

Honestly, grinding for Dark Matter camo has been incredibly fun for me, despite how much Warhead makes me want to throw my controller at the wall. I haven't grinded for a camo since grinding for Dark Matter in BO3, which back then was an absolute nightmare and took me like 6 months, due to the fact I couldn't stand playing Multiplayer back then and simply because I wasn't very good at the game. Not much has changed. I still suck at CoD, but I find the multiplayer to be very fun in BO6. I thought I'd just be playing the Zombies mode, as that's the only thing I really care about in a Call of Duty game. I think it's because of the Omni-Movement thing they've added. It makes going back to BO3 feel incredibly janky compared to BO6, which is not something I thought I'd ever say about BO3. Despite how many issues and criticisms I have with BO6, I should absolutely hate the game, but against all odds, it's weirdly enjoyable. Maybe it's because I haven't played a Call of Duty game since BO4, so everything feels fresh to me. It's a strange feeling.

I'm glad you're making a video about this I'm mostly a black ops fan when it comes to cod I've dabbled in the other ones but this is the first cod where I've been "going out of my way" to the do the "boring grinds" like the weapon camos and calling cards mastery cards etc but honestly the only things that I've been disappointed with is like the map pool like I get enjoyment out of I'd say 65% of the maps but some are so bad it literally makes me want to leave matches red card is so terrible when I see the lobby vote for it I dip and look for another the progression of everything in the game honestly feels real easy I've gotten pretty far considering I have a life outside of it I know it's not the nostalgia of playing the original black ops but it still feels good it feels grounded for the most part few odd skins but in this day it's kinda expected with how the community and people are also yeah my buddy only likes playing Nuketown and we all love nuketown but like only playing it makes me wanna commit toaster bathtub bcuz you're either a fair fight demolishing the other team or getting you back blown out 7 ways to heaven

When I play cod for fun, I feel bad. When I shut my brain off and just play to play, I destroy my lobbies. I was playing nuketown with my friends the other night, and went 78:8 and they didn't seem like they liked that very much. I felt kinda bad about it. I’m more casual in fps games but I play fighting games competitively so I can see the fun in grinding the game out and trying to be “the best” but I’d say for a game to spark that interest, it would have to be fun first so I feel like more game studios should just focus on making a fun game. Case in point, black ops 2 I still play that shit to this day even on plutonium with the unlock all cheat giving me nothing to grind for, I can very easily sink hours into that game. For nostalgia maybe but you can’t deny that game just feels so damn good and you can tell there was so much love and care put into it

There’s also a plague of chronic complainers, not just in video games but every facet of entertainment. Everyone’s copy of the game could be tailor made specifically for them, and there’d still be legions of people bitching about the game and how it sucks and isn’t as good as the old version. But then if who-ever studios made the same game for 2 decades and never changed so they wouldn’t “fall off” people would bitch that they haven’t changed in years and now it’s boring.

100% agree. It's impossible to please everyone, and there's something about internet communities in general that just blow every small thing up to be a way bigger deal than it actually is. A game can be 99% perfect, but because the sprint-to-fire speed is .03 seconds too slow it's automatically thrown out.

I agree, we should play casually and enjoy things more. But for me I enjoy casually going for the camo grind and even playing Stakeout. Though to be honest I don’t care at all about actually finishing the camo challenges, I just like working towards them. I almost finished MW2 (the new one) near the end of its life and stopped right at the last step because I never actually cared about the camo, I just liked doing the challenges.

I’d love to have fun, but every time I play a match; there’s always something off that kinda ruins. Like how there’s no indicators for tactical grenades and getting spammed with flashes and concussions without a trophy system. How the damage of my guns are always inconsistent generally not for my benefits. Also idk if it’s me, but SMGs feel like they have way too much range for being pistol caliber weapons. Then almost every person I play against is a sweat or a dunderhead. There’s so sense of progress, it’s just a pendulum of two extremes.

I feel like I learned that just a few days ago when I realized resurgence wasn’t fun for me since I got my first 2nd place cause then I felt like I was owed the win that I didn’t get earlier. I got three 2nd places in a row and realized I should have been proud of that but was instead just pissed that I didn’t get a win on area 99 yet. Honestly haven’t booted it up again cause that wasn’t fun.

I have a full time job, I had dm done in a week. I am also going to hit prestige master tonight. I think the camos were annoying for having headshots for snipers and random bs like that, but I enjoy the dm grind. Also, popping 2xp and doing camos and daily challenges and calling cards makes leveling super easy. So if anyone wants to complain ab the grind, you're not going to level up if you just load in and shoot enemy, you have to work towards the challenges if you want to achieve mastery. Also, the maps are trash.

With the short TTK to OP ARs and SMGs, the camo grind is brutal. Plan to die a lot. Especially due to the recon perk on hardcore. lol.

I agree that a "grind" should be a grind. Some people like it, and some don't. While it was shitty that the tokens weren't gonna carry forward, I understood the choice. Then when they accidentally brought em back I knew it was over, no way the community at large is gonna let that slide lmao. I sit here as a prestige master already, and probably would have been by now even without the tokens as I barely used my 100+ hours. Now that I have hit prestige master, I once again have no use for the tokens. I WILL be using my 2x weapon and battlepass xp tho for sure. Oh yeah, and Kill Order blows. I am happy they took it out of mosh pit, it's a faster ending TDM because my team runs like lemmings straight to the red "KILL" sign and feeds the enemy team 125 points in under 2 minutes.

Honestly ive been loving the game a lot of the time, when im not put up against the people who don't touch grass. Personal recommendation with the Pu (or just any lmg) is cross bar + it's biggest mag. I had so much fun with them like that, and was still occasionally gettin headshots. Pu is also good when used like an AR with the fast mag

I haven't bought a cod since black ops 3, so i'm not sure how new this feature is, but i love the mastery system. I like the badges for flexing obviously, but they aren't too long of a grind and they encourage players to try new equipment that they otherwise wouldn't have.

I haven’t played cod in about a decade , so I’m having a fun time grinding and leveling up. It’s a good cod to come back too. Which will last me longer anyway Than people with a million double xp tokens. I’m in no rush to unlock everything. I plan on playing this game off and on through out the year or more.

I can see and agree with a lot of your points here and obviously everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I completely disagree with your take on the maps. I’ve been playing cod for over a decade and these are some of the worst maps we’ve ever had. My reasoning for this comes down to there being no foundation. Cods map foundation for years were built upon a 3 lane ideal. It has not been this way for a long time. It’s why a lot of the dlc throwback maps are so damn popular. I honestly liked mw2019s maps because a lot of them had the 3 lane foundation, they were just way too big for 6v6. But that game had 10v10, which made them all flow very very nice. Anyway, I really liked the video and I think a lot of people could benefit from hearing what you had to say. Much love!!!

They have certainly created some legendary maps over the years, and map creators must lose a lot of sleep trying to live up to those iconic maps. And there is another factor l have not seen addressed...people's attention spans have decreased over the last 10 years. They can't play a slower paced game, they need chaos and constant action for that dopamine hit! It's pretty early in the game cycle at this point, a lot more maps to be released over the next 8 months, so we'll see what's in store for us.

My main point is that they said we’d get 3 lane back to basics treyarch maps, and they did the opposite. Hopefully this year pans out good for us but it’s not looking good with all the AI decisions

Great video that really highlights the hypocrisy within the COD community. We claim we don’t want just the same shit over and over, but riot if Shipment 24/7 or it’s equivalents (ex: Nuketown 24/7, Stakeout 24/7, Shoot the Ship, etc.) aren’t accessible at all times and any new modes are added to mosh pits. I’m glad I broke myself free of this mindset during MWII (mostly, I do still fall into the “I have to play for a certain amount of time due to popping a Double XP token” trap sometimes). It didn’t do much of anything to save MWII for me (that game just felt like a soul crushing meat grinder to me even when I was just playing for fun), but MWIII (MP wise at least) & now BO6 have been a lot of fun and I’m not sure I’d love them as much as I do otherwise. Although TBF I only really slipped into the mentalities described in this video during Vanguard & MWII, so I’m was far from beyond saving.

Ik im crying but I’ve played COD since the PS2 days and obviously in the span of 10-15 years I’ll be highly above average player. The thing is now with COD is EOMM/SBMM why am I getting nerfed mid game and going against CDL tryouts? They have ranked play but pubs is more sweaty which makes no sense. Before this I could solo queue from BO1-BO4 (and every COD in between) and hit maxed prestige with maxed camo, but now it’s so draining to play one game.
