Good stuff, i learned something, I always thought everybody should move the foot pegs back. I never had the idea that moving them forward was a good idea. That's good news for me since I have a long legs.

I'm 6'1 and my main track bike is a Ninja 400. I did two years with some vortex rear-sets that I had put in every possible position but could never get comfy and my feet felt wedged into the pegs where mobility was tough with a side of knee pain. Due to a crash and not getting the parts in time for the next TD I went back to the stock ones, and man it was night and day as far as comfort goes and being able to transition my weight side to side smoothly. So I 1000% agree with you! Comfort is king, if you feel even the slightest bit uncomfortable on the bike its gonna take away from your confidence! Love the videos!

Yeah it's funny how that works. Sometimes it's worth playing around during a trackday to get yourself feeling comfortable. Thanks for watching man!

Very true, Took me a few rides with some cheap rear sets to figure out why I didn’t feel stable while leaned over. Leg length makes a difference, my brother is the same height as me but doesn’t like his rear sets very high . 🏍️

Yeah for sure. Ultimately we're all looking for a certain feel from the bike and you gotta play around with them to get that.

Hi!! I am a tall rider (192cm) and your video was very helpful. Is there any helpful tip about how to adjust the clip-ons?
@cheetah7402 жыл бұрын
I'm the same height as you. I tend to keep my clip ons a little more flared out. Once setup, make sure you can get in full tuck nicely and your elbows don't hit your knees. Also try hanging off and see how your wrist feels, it should be in a natural position.

Hi again!! I had text you a long time ago and I need you help . Can you please give a measurement of how wide you have your clip ons from a fixed point and the length of your tubes?Do you have some mm gap down from the triple clamp. We have the same height si it would be very helpful. I also have a zx10r 2008 Kawasaki so it would be in a way pretty similar.....

What would you suggest for a team endurance bike? Should it be in a neutral position, or should it be altered to the best/faster rider of the team?
@cheetah7402 жыл бұрын
Neutral position would probably be best. There are some things you'll have to sacrifice when doing endurance. Also gotta consider rider heights
