Linda "would be" proud?? She's still very much with us, you know. She was 78 five weeks ago', and her Parkinsons is well-controlled. It doesn't allow her to sing up to her own standards, but she's otherwise in "pretty good shape for the shape she's in."

Tim Purcell understood KZbin audio at a sublime level from very early on. Nowadays with the Opus 251 codec everything sounds decent but F&F production values always stood out like a sore thumb years before that became the standard.

Not trying to be a smart ass here but this song was written by Clint Ballard jnr and was recorded by a few artists in the 60's before Linda Ronstadt did it. Obviously F & F have cribbed the LR arrangement as its the one we are most familiar with. And as usual they've done a great job.

I saw a cover of this tune earlier today. The singer was good, she hit all the right notes, but she lacked the passion and grit of Linda.
