The sponsor taking up more than half of the video feels hollow and makes the rest of the content less engaging imo.

The sponsor is too long, and I'm going to assume that was their condition, but I just skimmed completely past it. If sponsors want traffic, then they need to keep it short. A lot of people sit through ads just to see the video, and for it to just be essentially a long ad in itself, Is going to upset people.

Exactly like, this video is 20% interesting talk and 80% ad. like... why?!

“You aren’t bad at art, it’s just branding,” and it’s literally just an ad disguised as an inspirational help video. Look, I get needing to get that bag but this is really obnoxious and just leaves me questioning whether I should trust the advise at all

That's what my art career is lacking: clickbait videos offering shallow"advice" that in reality are a huge ad for useless trash.

My advice is to make videos dedicated to how to use a product in a specific way, instead of merging to different types of content that don't work necessarily along into a single one. Like, this would've been better if it was a video about how to make packaging art. You seem to be lost as of the late months or so, and try to monetize more aggressively without caring about what the viewer wants to see from you. I care enough to leave this comment, and say that I find your content a bit more tedious to follow. You used to be more relatable for beginners, even as a professional artist, because your content was down to earth and "real". Now, if it's not some random web SaaS or app that changed your way of doing art, it's either some personal event, or negative brooding about what didn't work for you, but with no positive silverlining that would benefit the viewers.

3:09 to 9:30 is the ad in this 11 minute video. Ridiculous.

it's one thing to sponsor and advertise - I love certain art youtubers who do tons of this. But she doesn't even make or package physical products so this feels entirely irrelevant to "her brand." Or if she does, I think she has openly discussed how this has been a failure? I am so confused.

@@hannahmoren4161 Funny thing is, if the video WAS about the sponsor and made a video AROUND that, that would've been more tolerable. (Didn't even know she doesn't pack items....)

One of the best ways to go about branding is just creating a personal brand. Everyone is unique enough that it will make them stand apart as long as they are being natural and authentic.

yup I totally agree here, thank you! I’ve been working on this myself and I find there is a balance to staying true to myself and “fitting” into the marketing world as it were..but I still agree authenticity first and foremost or else what’s it all even for?

I will be honest and agree that sponsorship was a bit too long, but I think the rest of the advice is pretty solid. Also SUPER CUTE BANGS!! Idk if this is a recent change but this is my first time seeing them and I approve excellent hair choices being made 👍👍

I found this informative! Not sure why people are yapping about this being a sponsorship video. I use Adobe Dimensions to do 3D prototyping of physical merch but has a limiting library. May try this out

Love your videos, this topic is really interesting, I made a youtube channel and some of the older videos are so cringe to me, also some of the inconsistant video styles really make me feel like my branding is all over the place, do you think I should hide my old videos whyle I rebrand my content? I dont hate it all but there are like 70 videos and a lot of work but I worry that my old branding will drown my new attempts at a rebrand. Id love your insights into my dilema please. Many thanks

man. This video was off to a good start, but then just fizzled out with that ad... I'll give this channel another chance cause Spilled Ink mentioned it, but otherwise this would be the only the vid I'd watch. This better be an anomaly

Y'all know that sometimes brands pay more for longer ads/dedicated videos about them, right? She is just doing her job, stop complaining so much 😅 It's fine if you don't care about the ad, no one is forcing you to watch this video! And the fact this ad is so long doesn't mean that from now on every single one of her videos will have a super long ad in it. You really don't need to immediately feel angry or disappointed, you know? 🥲💕

Then she should label the video "Branding with Pacdora", but she specifically didn't knowing that her video wouldn't get as many clicks. Her viewers have every right to be annoyed that she clickbaited us to make some extra change. Also, if she did it once, what's going to stop her from doing it again? Doing this kind of stuff to your audience tarnishes your reputation. YOU really don't need to immediately lick the boots of content creators who do shady things, no one is forcing you, you know? 😘❤

It was misleading. If she wants to do a long ad, that's fine. But she could have at least made the rest of the video longer or just as long as the ad. People also have the right to complain.

'she's doing her job' -> well it's sad if you think that's her job to sell stuff on socials when she's a super skilled storyboard & comic artist. She deserves better.
