That's good as long as one doesn't watch with the secret agenda to avoid feeling any unpleasant feelings that arise in our awareness. Neither repress/suppress/avoid or Follow After/Get Unconsciously Carried Away by any unpleasant feelings/emotions/sensations that surface. The way to heal them and release them is to feel them fully, embrace them, face them without trying to get rid of them or resisting them. What you resist persists. Opposite of resistance is facing/allowing/embracing. Love/Compassion allows and embraces. Avoiding feeling our feelings that arise is fear and not embracing. You may already know this of course.

My dear Eckhart ❤️ your teachings have helped me immensely 🙏❤️ today I realized after watching your videos for whole month that why I was not able to enjoy life 😭. I read your book a new earth in December 2019 and had an awakening ❤️ but I fell back to my old patterns although not entirely but I was in trap of many dysfunctional patterns. Again in December 2022 I came back to your videos, fortune enough out of my suffering because again I was not able to live with that pain. I found solace in your teachings as I did in 2019. Life is changing I am seeing my suffering is pushing me to be present and in that presence I am becoming aware how to bring joy in whatever I am doing. I was in constant resistance to the present moment 😭. In 2019 I became aware of my breath which didn't go away completely as you rightly said once it starts it doesn't go away completely. I tried to be aware of my inner body at that time while reading a new earth again and again but couldn't succeed in. After 3 years life became unbearable in some areas of life and I started watching your videos day and night and after 3,4 days of listening to you I became aware of inner body that was like a flood of energy 🙂. Today I understood why I was not able to enjoy my studies it gave me much stress and anxiety because I was all interested in the end result not, knowing I can enjoy my studies or even bring joy in what challenge me the most, it makes me more intensely alive. How to tell you how much grateful I am. For nearly 28years of life I was suffering from anxiety, stress and God knows what I have cried to the extent where I feel I might not have more tears 😭. My heart full of love for you❤️ Thank you thank you Eckhart for all that guidance 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️ someone who didn't have a moment of peace all life does know the value ❤️🙏 Love Love Love Eckhart ❤️

I saw his face suddenly change into a kind of old world spiritual teacher (Native American? Egyptian? Babylonian?) with some face painting (or tattoo?), on his cheeks and and the most prominent on his third eye area, shape like a necklace across his forehead, and long black hair, (and most likely tan skin?). With very bright aura of gold, rainbows and green. I was a little bit shocked at first, but we are all connected by consciousness and continue to immerse myself with his presence. He is the spiritual guru that I am connected to and resonant the most. Even his advice in this video ring true to my current situation. Thank you so much teacher! Being the "All-In-All", which we all are, means being "Inclusive" rather than "Exclusive". We take on a "personality" in each incarnation and when we decide to move on to the next incarnational experience, the things we learned from all previous "personality experiences" are "stored away" as it were, and when we have learned what we came to learn from all our incarnational experiences, we come to a state of consciousness where we can then move on to non- Earth experiences. This is our understanding presently. 👍😊🌈🙏

Check out EMDR (eye movement). It's a real thing with demonstrable results. There's something subconscious about shifting our eyes when in that state you recognize being in, triggered into an egoic state, a reaction, obsesing on a thought. It really works. It does something to shift our focus (mentally). It's tied to our reptillian brain, a reflex that happens way beneath the surface. It's worth looking into. Dr. Hubberman's channel has a video about it.

I've gone through (or am going through) multiple dark nights. More than a decade ago, like you, I had a profound series of experiences which were initially difficult but I got through and had a immense sense of peace. Now it feels like I'm going through yet another transformation. What it is is unclear, I suppose I am accepting of it and seeing where it leads. My life is going great this time around but it is hard to shut out the noise, the state of the world, war, etc.
@markfuller Жыл бұрын
_"it is hard to shut out the noise, the state of the world, war, etc."_ This may be pedantic or semantic, but I would say that it's not about "shutting out." It's about accepting that it's out of your control. What can your preoccupation with these things do to change anything? All you can do is accept what is. This is a tough topic because skeptics of awakening often say that "what if we all just sat around accepting what is? Evil would flourish, everyone would just accept it as what is." But, most of us fill ourselves with things we can't change. Filling ourselves is self-satisfying in some way that isn't helpful. It occupies space for what we can change. If everyone knew that difference, practiced it, there would be less war, etc. We'd be more attentive to what we can do, not ruminating on what we can't (for subconscious reasons that feel good, distracting us from the present moment when it's not necessary to). If everyone had this understanding, dictators would be less likely to be elected. Nationalistic majorities less likely to form. More people would be aware. We can spread that kind of awareness by occupying ourselves with what is (not what should be, and especially what should be for someone else whom we have no influence over).
@RamSamudrala Жыл бұрын
@@markfuller Thank you. You are absolutely right and not pedantic/semantic at all. "Acceptance" is the right word and my non-use of it shows how pernicious the influence of the ego is. When I wrote "shut out", I mean the dilemma you mention. I already have accepted there's nothing I can do to change the situations I read about in the news, so my excess attention to it won't change the outcome (which already has happened anyway) no matter how many comments I write or even how much I donate, etc. Yet I feel an impatience for having a privileged life while others suffer. I already have chosen to live a life of service so I'm doing the best I can but my impatience is about the world getting on with the program, to have the peace I have. You write about "spreading awareness" which gets into the doing aspect, that's what I mean. Are you saying you only model being present and let the chips fall where they may, or do you talk about what being present brings to you? For example, Tolle himself is going around giving lectures, writing books, etc. Why? Presumably to help people. There are others still who take direct action - people who save lives. For instance, the recent shootings in CA - some victims who survive become activists and they do have an influence. If we didn't have them, we may not have the cover we have to be present. It takes all kinds though it seems but humanity could definitely benefit from a greater awareness of being. Ultimately though it seems there needs to be some personal responsibility and there is some collective responsibility.

About 5 minutes into this I recalled a dream I had last night about an estranged friend. She had a child with her in the dream. When I remembered having the dream, I immediately began writing about it in my dream journal. As I wrote, I let this meditation continue playing, and when I wrote the part about the child, I was shown the child represents her inner child, and she was saying telepathically she is ready to heal her. I'm not saying I think our estrangement will end, but it won't surprise me if it does! I will definitely come back and share if that happens!

@@sunshine-qk8qe I think your comment is a perfectly valid point; it applies, concerns, both "the inner child", and some of Ulrich's aka ET, teachings, as it does to most of the so called spiritual leaders. The widespread availability of the content they put out, can be dangerous to some people. People adhere, start to follow them, often due to loneliness (a very widespread common illness of our times, loneliness that is), and instead of seeking other forms of real human connection, people find confort and believe deeply in what's being said without questioning it, only to realise not much longer down the line, that's what becomes, that's the reason, for their isolation. There's no real solution. They're not preaching hatred. So it's supposedly valid. It's just another product/content available online - and like many other 'products', content, it can have dire consequences to some people. Harmful consequences. After all, not everyone can afford to attend multimillion dollar generating retreats on the other side of the world (even if they took place at their door step, they may still not be affordable) where they'll find like-minded individuals with whom to relax, display their wealth, possibly leading into intimate relationships, friendships etc - or simply relax in a protected 'cocoon like' environment. Spiritual leaders and their teachings is not only untruthful, fabricated and delusional, it's disconnected by a long way from the reality of life. For a lot of people their reality of life is far far away from that world of delusions created and transmitted by the multimillionaire authors.

Just an observation: I work in customer service on phones taking back to back calls. I notice if I stop talking for 3 or 5 seconds most people start to have a melt down yelling into the phone hello over and over and they so busy screaming they don't notice when I'm like yes I'm still hear. Most people can't sit in silence for 5 seconds and not loose it. Just an observation.
@johngreen46832 жыл бұрын
I work with people trying to help them engage with others in a less defensive manner, the problem is so many people have had the conversation in their minds and created a negative story about how the phone call is going to go before they even pick up the phone. When we make a 3 way call together people say organisations are nicer to me because of my job but its not true, the only reason things go better with me involved is because my mind is completely neutral before making the call and i able to be non reactive during the call. I wasn't always able to do this so i try and pass on to others what i have learned myself 🙏🙏🙏🙏

' I notice if I stop talking for 3 or 5 seconds most people start to have a meltdown yelling into the phone...' What is happening is that their egos are panicking because your silence means they are not getting that reaction/ validation. Your silence is powerful.
@markfuller Жыл бұрын
@Marlo, I think many people have had experiences of being dropped from support calls when the problem is something the agent can't fix. They may have sat on hold for 20 minutes waiting for an agent (in that sense, it's wrong to say they can't sit in silence for 5 seconds). They're worried that something's gone wrong (and could be a disingenuous "oh, I don't know what happened. The call dropped. Oh well...," facing another 20-minute wait on hold. This could be an opportunity to empathize. I know someone who will curse at their top of their lungs at the automated voice-menu systems, and periodic on-hold "thank you for waiting." They rationalize it as "I'm getting all my anger out now while it doesn't matter." I try to tell them that it's an opportunity to practice mindfulness, accept what is. But, they scream obsenities into the phone. I'm reminded of the quote: _"All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone."_ - Blaise Pascal (Pensées [Thoughts], 1654). It's strange that that was a known problem back then. Today we have so much competing for _infinitesimally smaller_ amounts of our attention. Algorithms that know the odds that you'll click on something, or watch it 10 seconds longer. We're so much more addicted to distraction, occupation. There's no comparison to 370 years ago. It's hard to imagine how they could suffer that way without challenges we face.

@@sammavaca5714 i agree Samma, quite often people see and hear what they want to see and hear rather than what Eckhart has actually said in the videos. Some people sometimes projet onto Eckhart what they themselves believe about him, and sometimes people feel bitterly disappointed in Eckhart for not living up to their own mind made version of him. Some people are angry at Eckhart when they discover he's not a vegan would you believe, even though he never once actually claimed to be a vegan, people build their own version of Eckhart and others rather than accept what is actually there🙏🙏🙏

Hi! I truly liked the first 3 hours of the book "The Power of Now," I haven't finished it yet but am excited too. I had a question, that Ekhard hasn't answered so far and was wondering if anyone could help, thank you 💚🤸🏿♀I was wondering, what is the advice that is given to someone when they are actually going through either violence against their bodies or any other form of violence, that would make it hard to practice living in the moment? Thanks in advance for any help in this matter ☺

What can i do if people keep on talking negative about me (bullying). There's a witness, i am the field... ~peace ✌ Often i am crying (even when i am not close to them i feel it, so heavy energy towards me, and become desperate and prefer wandering on the street)

You can take action to protect yourself if it is your choice, it has to come from being instead of resistance of the situation,but the most important part in your situation is to come into a deep acceptance of what is,does not mean liking it, dealing with difficult people is a hard pill to swallow for the ego, not that easy, you may not always succeed by doing this, but, do your best and see what happens, go watch his videos about " dealing with unconscious people" , difficult people can turn to be your best spiritual teacher.

Its the reacting to their mean stuff. Its not your fault if they are unconcious and cruel. You are loved and this abuse is not baaed on reality. You might consider listening to David Hoffmeister on KZbin too, who does similar teachings. He focuses on forgiving the world, so it might help you with this problem of the ego seeing itself as being a victim. Sorry you are experiencing cruelty. Suffering can be useful to help us grow--as ET learned and teaches.

Bless you, this is a horrible situation but its possible to change these things around . I know it takes a lot of bravery but ask one of the bullies why they pick on you and what it is you do to offend and provoke their behaviour towards you. 1 if its just a case of unconscious people acting with a heard mentality then you will have at least sown the seed awareness of your feelings into one of the bullies and who knows that seed may grow into compassion and a change of behaviour from that individual . 2 if there is something that you unconsciously do to bring out this heard mentality then you will at least be aware of what it is and have an opportunity to change anything that provokes this unkindness in others,, please don't think I'm saying there is anything you do to provoke the bullying, chances are there is nothing you do to cause it, but its always worth asking the question just incase, because as with each and everyone of us, the hardest person to see objectively is ourselves. Whatever happens its going to be OK, it really will be bless you 🙏🙏🙏🙏

@Love, there is a story of buddhist teacher who was accused of fathering an illegitimate child with a young woman. His response was "is that so?" He took the child in and raised it. Later the young woman confessed that it wasn't him, and wanted the child back. "Is that so?" (and gave the child back). He didn't identify with himself so much to care. The moment was simply being accused. He did all he could do with that moment. He didn't care what people thought. The only thing that's real is this present moment. Everything else is a story we tell ourselves. What can you do about people talking negative about you? What good would it be if they were talking positive? They don't define you either way. You just are in the moment. It is what it is. It's your story being affected. Don't identify with the story. Identify with yourself in the moment. Bullies typically continue their bullying when they know they are affecting you. If you are secure as conscious existence in the moment, then the "gray-rock method" would look like that. If you're not secure, then practicing the 1st video in my playlist can help you familiarize with that present-moment self, individuate from the thinking/obsessing/ruminating self.
