I'm a working man but not manual labor. I work an overnight shift as security and concierge at a residential building in Soho. I love my Carhartt vest, two overalls and a hoodie. Along with some other "technical" outdoor clothing they are in my regular rotation because they are built for wear and tear, meaning I won't have to replace them for some time. Also, as a subway rider on the trains late who has been attacked things like work overalls and a thick canvas chore jacket are good in a fight. So... Yeah... This guy is SO silly. Carhartt USED to be made out of good material AND was AFFORDABLE then when they knew they had tradesmen by the balls they started mass producing cheaper less quality products out of china at a higher price, made it fashionable and overall ruined the company’s reputation. I wear them in NYC. I work third shift and am on the subways late. Been attacked multiple times. When I had other clothes on I came out looking like a mess. When I had my Carhartt overalls on and my Schott's canvas jacket on I didn't have a scrape on me even after rolling around on the ground and dodging knife slashes. It’s not even about manual labor. I’m a sales rep out in the field every day that doesn’t have a uniform. I can wear whatever I want. If I wear carhartt shirts they last forever. It’s good and bad generally. The garment is strong and actually has some good qualities unlike the cheap thin garment nowadays that is fast fashion. But still I don’t wanna pay so high for a good garment or the brand

I'm learning to be a contractor everyday on a job site learning new skills in that field I don't wear Workwear because I work manual labor I wore it because it's a durable piece of clothing even if I wasn't doing manual labor I would still wear it
