When I was about to lose hope, I finally had a breakthrough after watching this and 'close the door on your symptoms', I can literally feel this pain finally leaving my body by just knowing what it is, not reacing to it and carrying on with my day as much as possible, despite the symptoms. It's uncomfortable, but I had to force myself to go through the process and it really does work. Thanks again Jim for everything you do.

Talk to your brain - tell it you won't take it anymore | don't fight flight freeze or fawn - face it. Don't be intimidated by your sensation | you have the power to overcome it | internal activation of empowerment | Reclaim your power and come from a strong place - I can! Don't think of yourself as being injured | psychological conditioning contributes to your symptoms | use your mind | the brain is neuroplastic and can change | the belief that you're broke leads to a loss of empowerment | self-efficacy is a belief | acceptance from a place of strength

Hi, Jim, your videos helped me so much last November when I cracked a rib but also had intense, out of control back and side pain as a result. I'm sending a link to your channel to a friend whose mother is experiencing a lot of back pain....you are a godsend, Jim! Thank you so much!

My problem is that the symptoms are constant and daily and I have a hard time believing I’m ok. I’m gonna try talking to my brain and tell it to knock it off I’m ok. Thanks for making these videos.

It's an interesting little known fact that doctors are not trained in toxicology and nutrition. I love Dr. Sarno and appreciate his method but emotions can only be a trigger and not the cause of your suffering. There is a diet that addresses slow recovery and it is a diet rich in vasodilation causing foods and eliminating/chelating toxins from your environment and your body. Peter Rogers, MD has a channel here on KZbin to explain toxicology and nutrition for blood flow that also happens to be the most alkalizing. He proves Anthony William to be correct. If there is inflammation due to injury, I would add Bowenwork to reset the nervous system linked to the sternum. A brilliant therapy from Australia. It works according to several laws of biomechanics to reset the nervous system to before accident/injury with mandatory therapeutic wait times to allow your thyroid to adjust your energy resources via radio-like frequency hormones. (My hypothesis via Dr. Zach Bush microbiome communication network which I think is an innate thyroid R5 and R6 function presented in Anthony William's book "Thyroid Healing") Your energy resources come from plants like fruit, leafy greens, and vegetables, good water, sunlight, and adequate sleep. Dr. Peter Rogers, AW, Dr. Sarno and this presenter, among many others also are aware that many other factors affect health including faith, affirmations, love, support, prayers, movement, and humor. Nourishing movement is a PT strength. Faith that your body can heal with the correct energy resources is imperative to your recovery.

No one seems to have an answer for mal de debarquement syndrome. Five years ago I went on a plane as a normal person, landed fine and by the next morning, my brain thinks it is on the plane. Swaying, bouncing, bobbing, brain fog, etc. Mount Sinai didn't work, neither did gyrostim, meds, CBD, and the list goes on. Although not spinning vertigo, no one understands what it is like to be dizzy 24/7. Every moment for the last five years. People like me need help.

I stopped by to see a friend last week and I feel so sad because he is broken. I had tried to call him, but his phone was disconnected. His house looks like a big box store with cases of beer lined up in rows. Hadn't seen him in 10 years and he is non-stop ruminating about his wife who had walked out on him after 30 years of marriage...in 2009...for Petes sake. Will I be able to bring up his spirits. Looking for ideas about how to help? Thinking of stopping by once a week with encouragement. I invited him to a local thrift store but he said no. Invited him to a local swim club but he said no. Not interested. I did offer him a pet, as he has no pets, but he said no. Any ideas are appreciated. 💔

If you want to grow your channel playlists are your friend. Group together: - somatic tracking/meditations into a series - recovery stories - symptoms/diagnoses eg group together recovery stories and helpful videos related to fatigue conditions ME/CFS, long covid. Another on chronic back pain. Dealing with trauma. Symptoms of dizziness, etc. Also more descriptive titles. What is the recovery story about? What was the diagnosis? What was the outcome? How long did they have symptoms? I often don’t bother watching videos when it’s not clear what they are about, and I don’t want to invest an hour listening to a recovery story or interview that might be irrelevant to me. I won’t even listen to the first few minutes. I’m busy and I need to manage my energy. Why would I spend an hour watching you interview another PT? The title should tell me why I should watch it. If it’s not in the title the written description should immediately tell me if this video is relevant to me. What’s in it for me? What will I learn?

Thank you for this awesome content. I love Dr Sarno, I healed my low back pain years ago, and now am struggling with chronic fatigue. How do I know when I am genuinely tired and have done too much, and when the body is creating fatigue as a form of TMS? Fatigue seems a bit trickier than body pain. Blessings to all

If rest doesn’t help then it’s chronic fatigue. Don’t push through if you can or you could end up in HPA axis dysfunction like me. But I am going to do brain retraining

jim I have to tell you that you are right about almost everything but the mind is not broken. The mind is working just fine. It’s running the protection mechanism because we are suppressing emotions! We constantly suppress our emotions /we have limiting beliefs and coping strategies like people pleasing and achieving and impressing that enrage & frighten our subconscious! Nothing is broken It is working just fine. We have to constantly learn to feel our emotions and not engage in these strategies and tell our subconscious everything is fine and it should stop.

Dear Jim. I would like to ask you a question. After stress symptoms last 5 years ( fatigue, panic attack, heartpalpitions, tight breath, brainzapps, than a quiet time for a year, and than bppv, pppd and at that same time eye visual issues) i am still not sure how to manage a few things. Most symptoms are gone. But, whats still bothering me so much is blurry vision, on and off. But especially focussing issues when being in busy environment or nature (looking at trees, bushes, busy leaves, flowers, grass, landscape) it makes me feel so "off" when looking at it, standing, walking there. I know it is a processing issue in my brain. And probably because of stress/ anxiety..however...i do feel this and i want to move on and dont be scared...but it does feel so scary. My eyes are checked by a doctor. They are healthy etc. And now...i keep thinking how do i do this. When i go outside for a walk i feel this almost all the time. At night i have all kinds of nightmares and wake up with flight because of this vivid dreaming... Just dont know how to go with this. Do you have experience with this problem? Any advice? Any people who had these issues?🙏🙏🙏🥰

I would like some testimony from someone who has recovered after lumbar fusion with an alif box. I think that the difficulty to face the doubts after two surgeries is greater. According to the tests, I have tms, but the pain is very adept at presenting itself as structural and there are very few testimonials from people who have recovered from spinal fusion surgeries. I have seen many testimonials from people who were lucky not to have surgery because they discovered TMS earlier, but I discovered it when I already had two surgeries.
@melissagreen_ Жыл бұрын
The body will heal from surgery, but it is only the mind that is causing the chronic pain. It's not intuitive and it's not easy, but it is simple.

Jim, so as a physical therapist, you wont do anything about the pain that a Morton’s neuroma gives to the patient?
@thepainpt Жыл бұрын
If there’s a structural cause we can attribute the pain to or if there’s an injury yes would treat it with some physical measures. However most chronic symptoms are not purely physical anymore otherwise than the symptom is physical but the cause is in the brain and nervous system
