3:44 adding a preview of possible lines. Soon you'll be at the top of chess creators small things like it makes it easier to follow for learners but also just cool to have only thing I'd as is using the coordinates more so we get used to them.

Woah that visual demonstration of the moves you were describing was really nice. I am usually pretty good at following along with your arrows but I’m sure not everyone can visualise and understand that so I’m sure a lot of people appreciate that little edit you did.

This is interesting but honestly alls you have to do is take just take advantage of Martin when hes weak and also its hard even for a GM to come back from -6 but i get it! I think it should be more like when hes at -3 or -4 he should transition lol! Great vid IWC.

Martin is a father all the way. Just like he lets his children win, he's there for any chess player who needs a confidence boost. He's good enough to be the best chess player in the world, but kind enough to not show it. Great video by the way! I love how you visualized the potential tactic. You put work into these and it shows!

Definitely try beating this bot without triggering GM Martin. That would involve both taking and sacking pieces to stay within the trigger parameter for the transformation. Not sure if the UI allows you to know how close you are to triggering the phase shift.

Good idea! Will be tricky to dodge all the free pieces he’s handing out…

Idea for evil Martin videos, he could get harder sooner, like when your +4 or +5 or he gets harder on a random scale of like +3 to +7, but you don’t know at which evaluation level he gets better or something like that

I think the fundamental flaw here is that you are easily good enough to beat a 3k bot with the advantage necessary to trigger him (+6), so there's no real danger here. You could make this more interesting by triggering him more easily, making him even more difficult when triggered, or maybe even changing these settings as time goes on. If I had to take a guess at what a good balance would be, and do keep in mind this is total speculation - you'd need to do proper playtesting, I would make evil martin stronger first of all so the threat is bigger, but in order to make it strategically interesting I would start with a +5 advantage = evil martin, but every move you lower that threshold by 0.25. This would incentivize taking him down quickly, or else after 20 moves you're just screwed even in an equal position, but also not to play too well as that would trigger him early and you may not be ready to convert. I think possibly an overpowered strategy you may need to overcome is sacking your pieces to make sure you just don't trigger him until martin blunders a guaranteed win. You could either lean into this, and make evil martin trigger more aggressively so that it becomes necessary to handicap yourself, or you could code evil martin to not only trigger when you are at a big advantage - but also when he is. Up to you, really.

Are we sure that the bot is set to grandmaster elo? A 2500+ elo bot wouldn't trade 2 rooks at a 2 rooks+ bishop vs 2 rooks endgame

I'm a noob, I literally don't play chess at all, but at 5:37 - why not take knight with knight? from F5 to D5, then pawn takes white knight, or bishop takes bishop, but then pawn from C4 can take black bishop, right? I just wonder why this was not a consideration. If he takes knight with pawn, you can take his bishop for free if I'm not mistaken, and if he takes a bishop, you can move the knight away, where is was or something
