When they are overstabbing and under raising on the flop I don't think we should check our entire range on AQ4. First of all you didn't check how overbet performs on the flop and if they act correctly to it. Might be that they are supposed to fold out some Ax on the flop already but no live player fold top pair to one bet, so over bet with value might even out perfom check. Also I think in our hands that struggle with aggression shouldn't check this flop but bet small to exploit the fact villain raises to little.

It's a kind of bait 'n switch to intro with AKss and flopping air OOP, and then spending the entire rest of the video using examples where you flop middle set.

I would love to see a video of how you deal with a dynamic board getting there. Like if the flush/straight draws gets there do you fold those sets/top pairs? Or maybe just an entire video on folding in spots. I think a lot of creators don't focus enough on good folds. Love the vids man!

@@wesch6354 here is a good example: 1/3… folds on me on button. 69s $20. Two donkeys in the blinds call. Flop 987 rainbow. Check to me. C-bet $30. Both call. Turn 9. Checked to me. I size up to $160.. the initial caller folds and I get shoved on for $230 more by the BB. I think forever, get the clock called on me 🤣 finally call. River bricks out inconsequential. I lose IT ALL when he showed 10J.. I go home looking for a rope to hang myself 😜

What I enjoyed most about this video was the idea of examining the equilibrium strategy of the villain to each of our actions and using how far away we think they are from equilibrium as the basic determining factor for which line we take. E.G. the harder the equilibrium strategy is to play the more likely our opponents will make huge blunders in some way versus that line. Signed up immediately, looking forward to joining v2.0

The reason you should range bet is that if you start to develop a checking range it would be too strong and the way your opponent exploits you is by almost range checking also. If you compare the EV of both solutions, you will massivelly loose ev by checking range. It really deppends on where you play, nowadays 200nl online regs do understand that, in live games i agree it can work.

On the 99 example in the last part on a dynamic board you recommend check raising widely against a small stab, but lead out more against a passive player. How about against a player who plays correctly? I’m asking this because you showed that the solver recommended play is to check back a great many hands in 3 bet pots, so the person betting a lot might not be doing so because they’re passive but because they’re playing correctly.

I really enjoy your vids and am not trying to be a pain but... That node locking methodology for hand #1 is pretty dubious. Your overall point is fine, but villain stab frequency needs to be compared to equilibrium stab frequency, not the counter exploit stab frequency. It's like node locking yourself to bluff everything on river, seeing that solver villain calls every bluff catcher, and then deciding you should bluff everything because real villains don't call every bluff catcher. Just because villain isn't calling every bluff catcher doesn't mean he's over folding. And just because villain stabs >14% in your AQ4 hand doesn't mean he's over stabbing.

i see your point, but there’s two points im making. 1) they overstab (would have to show vs equilibrium to prove this, to your point. i have in several videos before but didn’t show here) 2) they make MORE mistakes vs x than bet. this is the one i was trying to illuminate here. hear your point, and rest assured we’ve run 30+ node locked sims from preflop to river on all diff textures / configurations to figure this out 😇

remember i showed two situations: one for when we cbet range, one for when we x range. our position is MOST live players make MORE mistakes when we x than when we bet.

On the last part of the video... after flop check/check on a dry/static board, you say that hero bets small on the turn with thin value, and low-equity hands. What is the reasoning for betting small on this texture? I'm thinking that if we bet small they will call with similar hands (thin value and low-equity). Why is it good to put money in OOP with similar hands? My analysis is probably way off but I'd like to learn.

10:40 against shallower stacks that started with 100bb and now the SPR is 2, we use a geo2 size for 2/3 pot on the flop and play 66-66 line for stacks. On this J92ss board how are we playing AA-QQ, AJh, KQh etc on a flush closing turn or maybe Q/T turn that completed a straight or improved IP range a significant amount? Red over pairs start to feel awfully thin to shove for value. And if we check our entire range, I'm still lost on how to bluff catch vs IP bet.

@@hungryhorsepokerit’s kind of true in the sense that once you do it one time and they see you showdown a strong hand, even the biggest of idiots will stop overstabbing against you in which case your value hands significantly lose Ev bc you’re missing that one street to build the pot plus allowing them to outdraw you every time u’re in that spot. I speak from experience that I have tried this strat and it works amazingly well the first time you use it but then people catch up and then it’s really bad lol. I suggest only to do it vs randoms and not vs the same people you play against. Or against massive whales that don’t know any better ofc
