The moment I said, “Mom, I am gay.” I was worried about what the outcome would be. After hugs and tears, she said, “You’re still my David.” This was the perfect response for me as it has been me all along just now sharing more of me. The same thing happened with my dear wife, Heather, a year ago. She also said, “You are still the David I know and love!” When the waves of uncertainty creep in, I often reflect on those words “You’re still my David.” #gay #mystory #lgbtq #lds
