Bringing out Maxine's mental illness (Munchausen), what a nice touch of Dave. The fact that Dave doesn't see where the problem is in Sam's obsessive behavior is the main problem... He's right with Maxine it's often "me, me, me", but the fact remains that she was right to report Sam to the police, for the obsessive way he was behaving towards Zoe. Dave just fuels the problem instead of addressing it. Okay, his wife left him, but that doesn't mean I have to let go of Sam's bad behavior.

While a hypochondriac may know that he doesn't have any disease and it's just a fear of him, someone with Munchausen's syndrome thinks he has a disease. It's not lying, rationally you know you don't have a disease, but your brain sends the wrong signals making you believe you have a disease. Some people use Munchausen's syndrome for sympathy and money, but that doesn't mean it's not a serious mental illness that needs to be taken seriously, as it can have fatal consequences.

She didn’t tho it was her choice to do that. It was Zoe’s. And from what it looked like Zoe wasn’t very happy about it probably because Zoe is understanding the hurt Sam felt. Not that it an excuse because it’s not But I strongly believe in the right that only the person something like this is happening to has the right to report it unless their life is in danger Maxine has no right to make that decision for Zoe.

Well well looks like the bigger problem is Dave's dirty little secret his drug problem that explains his anger and issues because he was probably either looking for his next fix or he just took drugs. Munchausens doesn't make you oblivious to your actions, Maxine was mentally ill but knew full well everything she did and said, don't make excuses for her like "she couldn't control it" when she knew what she was doing

Maxine literally destroyed her brother's career by butting in when she didn't have a right to and I love that she finally got hit with her own toxic bs like lying to the entire village over having cancer (hate that she had the nerve to justify it ). She is self absorbed and projecting her bs and self righteousness. Maxine needs to stop getting into other people's business. Their family is just messed up and full of self righteous jerks who need to stop cutting each other down instantly like lizzy does all the times. I'm so over Maxine and this show desperately trying to have sympathy for her. Dave is absolutely the problem and Sam needs to never listen to the incredibly stupid men in this cast.
