Make the character a hero and give them special abilities that have a certain amount of of uses per battle. One example pat fusty can slap the Bloons back or Gwen which can speed up the blood but also deal damage overtime

Recommendation for sabre:the thing you want to get most is a sun avatar as it shreds even max regen blooms.

Use infinite money so the player won't have that much désavantage and make it , so you can have more lives instead of only 5 so you can play longer , and see if it's possible to become a DDT zomg
