@@splaram I would say drop small lil challenges for viewers at the end of videos. Feels like the next level of interaction outside of just VODs. Discussing aim techniques and how you personality translated them/how you feel or see yourself when aiming and trying to translate the practice.

I would love to see a vid covering mentality. So I used to grind R6 for 4 years in order to get to platinum and years more to do it again and mentality is one thing that held me back. Also talent, I believe in it, lot of my friends don't, like does it matter? What is it and does it exist?

great video! Im glad someone is talking about it in such a realistic light. im ascendant 3 and your raw aim puts me to shame. I barely scraped by plat on the VT valorant bench marks in some scenarios but I work around this with other skills and agent mastery.

One of the only reasons I even learned to edit and make thumbnails is because I got so tired of watching people use Kovaaks wrong for 50 total hours and then act like they're some kind of authority while getting millions of views. Hopefully my videos will help stop this fraudulence.

as someone with lots of hours in aim trainers, due to a potato pc in combination with the cs2 release, i ran into exactly the same issues. i literally had to learn how to counter strafe again after such a long break. but since i focus on training my movement again i can feel it coming back together slowly. i am an older player that likes to switch out gear and that is also quite the setback for immediate improvement. a new glass pad here and there and boom, learn everything again. but on the other hand it's fun and it cleaned up my technique in ways i thought was impossible at the time. sometimes, i think people are too hell bent on solely "improving". and that's where the injuries and tension issues really take place. sonetimes it's ok to have a bad day and going through the motions until you hit the scenario you enjoy playing. it's part of the process.
@splaram2 ай бұрын
Yup, being okay with having a bad day is huge. Just because you don't hit a new PB doesn't mean you haven't improved.

honestly, i agree with a lot of this and its definitely true but for me my biggest inconsistency in valorant was specifically tension control. I got immortal relatively easily and early before i even really started aim training and i consider to be above average aim wise for non aim trainers (started around plat voltaic). Recently, i started focusing on specifically switching scenarios (viscose's kovaaks playlist is amazing) and focusing on my tension on my mouse and it made my aim WAY more consistent and especially my pistol rounds
@splaram2 ай бұрын
Yeah I'm now convinced good tension control is what separates consistently good aimers from mediocre ones. Might do an experiment on it and make a video detailing what I found tbh

just a quick question i saw you use num 7 for knife how in the hell you press that far? and can you please tell me what do you use for dropping the weapon because you use g for plant and defuse and also what you use for voice com and spray, thank you. i just wanted to know your keybinds because you and i use kind of similar keybinds
@splaramКүн бұрын
I use a Logitech GPro Superlight right now which has two buttons on the left side of the mouse. I set num7 is bound to the top button so it's a lot easier to hit it Voice comm is bound to num8 I think, whiCH I also set to my bottom mouse button in Logitech G Hub. I chose num7 and 8 to bound to my mouse buttons because those two keys aren't on the original wooting keyboard that I also use so I never use them anyways. Dropping weapon is bound to pressing down my mouse wheel, I think it's called mouse3.

Important information, i've a good aim and reaction time but I'm still suck at CS2 and valorant.. but I try to improving myself(still frustrated) They were told me my crosshair placement, positioning are bad. I quit/uninstalled CS2 and valorant after 120+hours reason these game doesn't fit for me. I've a cs2(csgo formerly) player friend he told me he never play aim practice game in entire his life but he's very good than me have 2k hours than me.
@splaram2 ай бұрын
Your friend isn't wrong, you can get good by just playing. But I like to use my time efficiently. CSGO maps like aim_botz help you to improve your raw mechanics a lot, and community server DMs help you to improve your crosshair placement and ability to fight people in a MUCH shorter time than just playing will. Valorant doesn't have all of that so we have to use aim trainers to achieve a similar result.

splaram im around diamond in val and grandmaster in aimlabs is this correlation still bad or nah?
@splaram2 ай бұрын
I've seen VT Golds that are Immortal 3/Radiant and GM+ that are Gold and below so the correlation between VT rank and Val rank doesn't really mean too much imo, but I will say that Diamond is around the rank where you need to start supplementing a mechanical advantage with some game knowledge if you want to keep crutching on aim to climb

Aim training is a more efficient way to improve your mechanics are especially good for Valorant since Deathmatch and Range in this game are hot garbage. If I could port Workshop maps like aim_botz and CS community DM, retake, and 1v1 servers into this game, I wouldn't use aim trainers nearly as much as I do now.

@@IkeaBilly13 I'm guessing you have a lot of previous FPS experience? Possibly in CS? But yeah you can get to higher ranks by just using gamesense and never training aim but what happens when you go against someone that's not very smart but has good aim? Or a pro player? At the end of the day your gamesense can be fantastic but you still have to shoot other guys to win, and not even the biggest brain guys can consistently put themselves into fights where they can get off 3+ shots before the opponent reacts, and that becomes even more rare as you get higher up the ladder and face people with good aim AND good gamesense.
@IkeaBilly132 ай бұрын
@@splaram not no real fps experience before had like 10h in csgo and have a 60hz monitor aswell. But i mainly just take fights that are in my favour or set up my team like spam through smokes or wallbang also in higher elo the aim isnt crazy like you'd think.
@josch1055Ай бұрын
@@IkeaBilly13you can definitely achieve high ranks without aim training, but it's just less effective. If you want to get better at something it's always best to work at one thing at the time and train that in an isolated manner. Just like Tennis Pros train forehand only in different practice scenarios and don't play practice matches as much when preparing for big tournaments
