Thanks for this, and especially the solo! We should remember this song is from 1964, and compare it to what else was on the radio at the time to appreciate it. Its true that the early rock licks are sped up, 'freaked out' blues, but the transition of lead guitar playing from blues to rock, with the different rhythmic emphasis, chord progressions, and tone (distortion) is imho an underappreciated aspect of music history.

Definitely remember this from its US release in the 60s.

Hey John, long time follower of your channel. First of all thank you for all the great content. Secondly, I know this has nothing to do with this lesson, but how about a lesson on Slippin' into darkness by War? Seems pretty simple but there's a lot of subtle things going on that I can't grasp.

Thanks John; much appreciated. If you get a chance check out Mott The Hoople's instrumental version of this rock classic. It's about 3-4 minutes on their first album but in their early days they played it sensationally live and it often lasted more than twenty minutes; awesome!
