I have 4 Daggers. One had insane extractor issues because the slide was milled out of spec but the other 3 don't have a single failure between all 3 of them with a couple thousand rounds (about 500 on 2 and about 1200 on 1) They're all more accurate than I am and I swear to God they modeled and designed the ergos around my hands. Anyone that talks bad about them had a sample size of 1 and got unlucky or they genuinely don't know what they're talking about and are just jumping on the hate train. If you buy a Dagger and make it roughly 200-500 rounds with no issues, you're golden. Edit: To clarify: I'm not saying they're peak gun design. They're manufactured cheaply with mid-tier machining and quality control is less than stellar. NOTHING about them will blow you away. They cost $300 and they feel like $300 but they're accurate, they're reliable and I absolutely trust my life to one for the sole reason that the ergos fit my hand so much better than any other gun I've ever held (which is super anecdotal and unique to me and my hands) and I own Glocks, Caniks, S&Ws and have shot Staccatos, CZs, Sigs etc etc

Dagger frame with an unknown slide. 2 broken PSA strikers. 3 with trigger pins that walk.. these guns are trash

For me that grip is a huge deal, its so much more comfortable in my hand than most other pistols and is the entire reason i built on that lower. So mine is a real frankenglock built on the dagger frame and it works. That said, there WERE some compatibility issues, but they werent with the frame. I have a Johnny Glock trigger that didnt work out, and the Zev Citadel slide didnt work in combination with the Radian combo. so build wasnt without some hiccups but I am really happy with the current result. I have a couple of the PSA Daggers and a bunch of PSA's other guns like their AR's and AK's. I look at it from the stand point if I'm going to stock up on guns incase of an emergency I'm not going to be handing out Atlas or Staccato handguns and Geissele or KAC AR15s. I can't wait to read the comments because for whatever reason PSA has developed such a love hate relationship in the gun community. I bought a dagger as a “tinker” gun, something to just try different stuff with. Optics cut, rail, threaded barrel, suppressor height sights. No other gestures… $300 shipped to my FFL. I put a $30 Shadow Systems “stock” Gen 3 G19 trigger in it, and it’s much better. Even a little tighter than either of my G17’s. Put in a Glock firing pin because I’ve heard stories of the PSA ones breaking. Another $30, so I’m at $360 now. Put on a used Holosun 407c, cost me $200 shipped… now we’re at $560, and the only thing left to do is replace the recoil spring because the added weight of the optic seems to be enough to slow down the slide juuuust enough that it’s causing weak ejections- and I’m told they don’t spring their optics-cut guns for optics, you need to do that yourself. So that’s another… $30? $590 and it’s a decent shooter… couldn’t get a new Glock with an optics cut for that price. But a month after I bought it, I went out and picked up another Glock. I won’t trust the Dagger until it’s served thousands of rounds over numerous years dutifully.

Got 18,600 rounds through my dagger. It's broken 2 strikers. One at 2500 rounds and the other around 11k. That's been the issues I've had.

The first thing I do now, when buying a Glock clone, is replace the striker with cnc striker out of a solid block of steel.

Sounds like my experience with the PSA Rock. I cleaned it and lubed it really well before testing and I couldn’t shoot one magazine through it. Defective magazine followed. PSA replaced the magazine. I shot it some more. Sometimes the magazine wouldn’t unless I had the slide locked back. I had a couple ejection failures similar to yours. I think the gun was made much better than their magazines. The issues it had were easy to clear. If you practice enough , you could use it, but the track record of my FN Five-Seven was much better with only one feeding issue in the entire time I’ve owned it. I tend to shoot it a lot better as well. I’d feel safer trusting a HK, but if you’re on a budget there’s nothing wrong either picking one up. It’s a great value.

The Tisas PX9 Gen3 is waaaay better than a Dagger. Its like a Canik, Sig, and Walther had a baby and it takes extended p226 mags. Same price point, Insanely accurate, and reliable with everything you could possibly throw at it. Punches way above its weight class. ;)
@katherineoneil94103 ай бұрын
The PX9 is pretty awesome. Comes with magwell, iwb holster, extra sights (glock style night and fiber optic), different back straps and palm swells, And a 18 and 20 round p226 magazine. Threaded barrel only adds a few bucks to it also. Very underrated just like their 1911's.

Can confirm. Mine had some issues with 115 gr but I read somewhere that it was designed to eat 124. Once I swapped it that was a smooth shooter.

I own several Daggers and they run well and are reliable. I also have a Tisas PX9 that you can at times get for under $300. I agree with you wholeheartedly. It’s fantastic. Great trigger optics RMR cut several different grips. Two mags, 18 and 20 round. It is by far the best inexpensive striker 9MM on the market.

@@BryanCarty-uq4tkI have a tisas 1911 9mm g I. that works great but I wish had better sights and beavertail. I have used hk for most of the past 30 years but I'm currently looking at the dagger. But I see some concern about the dagger reliability ( seems a lot has been addressed with the roll pins) . Can you point me towards the tisas px model with the rmr and all the other goodies you mentioned at the dagger comparable price? The ones I found around $300 were iron sights. I'm in my early 50s now and sights matter more than ever lol.

Sar9 I'm telling you that pistol has no quit in it! I have run old ammunition old crusty ammo I found out the range on the ground bad reloads that were not sized correctly it chews them up and spits them out like it likes it! I drug mine through Okefenokee swamp hunting hogs and pulled a hand full of sar and slime and still shot the snake that we walked up on with slime all over the action it's the most robust striker fire pistol i have ever had! and it keeps impressing me year after year!

The dagger triggers are some how worse than a factory glock trigger. For 300-400 you can get an optic ready p10, or for 400-500 bul armory axe, which I’d say compares with shadow systems but don’t have all the issues of shadow systems, also I know this might get some hate but the Taurus g3 toro has a very good trigger in single action and has double action I case you want a heavier first trigger pull or want a second strike ability. Recently we have gotten some of the bersa thunder 9’s for $300, aluminum frame da/sa with decocker, I think it’s takes beretta, cz or p226 mags, but it’s a very good gun for $300.

If have to disagree. You can get a shield Plus these days for the same price or less than the Dagger. The Shield is leaps and bounds ahead of the dagger in every way. Shootability, recoil, ergonomics, size (thinness), magazine options (10-15 rds), warranty, flat faced trigger right out of the box, and last but not least - LOOKS! Shield plus 4” is the king of EDC.

never had the CW40 but I have put 1000 rounds through my CW9 and I've never had a single misfire, failure to feed, or failure to eject. I've also never seen a grown man over 200lbs complain about hand pain shooting a single stack 40 lol

I've had two, and I consider them basically parts. It's better to use better parts kits, and use them as a base. PSA's quality control is why they are that cheap. The best budget options are probably CZ P10s.

I understand the purest argument I bought a shadow systems mr920 sold it and switched back to a Glock 19. Trigger on the shadow systems was lacking and the failures were annoying the shit out of me. Shadow systems had some cool upgrades but just couldn’t compete with the factory Glock.

PSA has solidified its place in the 2A community. It's cheap, effective, and almost as good as some name brands that are 2-3 times the price.. I have had 1 bad upper in my entire history using PSA, and we shall see how good their Warranty is. that being said.. I would have had to spend 6-7K for the same 3 builds I have from a big name brand.. and at sub 600 yards... who cares?

I would send my Glock out for work because it feeds from a full mag every single time after thousands and thousands of rounds. The trigger pin of my dagger walks out just from dry firing. I’ve also had opposite findings with holster fitment, with the holosun PID it fits in all my Glock w/tlr1 holsters. I really think the texture or lack of texture is horrible but it is nice in the holster because it’s not super aggressive or really exist at all. And i could not figure out where my rounds were hitting even after 300 rounds,i have a dot on it now so hopefully i can get it figured out or it’s gonna have to go back. Idk if it’s something with the barrel or maybe i just can’t shoot but it was all over the target from ten yards.

I have 3 daggers and a micro. 1 combat armory and SCT frame as well. This is bad none I've of the best reviews of the dagger. No bullshit! Good info for the pros and cons. Personally I've not experienced any failures from the daggers, but I can't afford to run them hard. Well done. For reference I also have a SS 918 and Gen 3. I greatly prefer the SS flat back strap, but the daggers cost factors greatly into equation.

I got a Dagger just to check it out, it's not bad, and it worked fine, but it feels notably cheaper than your typical normal priced striker fired guns. It does seem if someone really wants to shave $150-200 from a Glock, a Beretta APX or even a Sar 9 is a nicer pistol.
