@@maritta01 No…she’s intentionally written to be a chaotic mess who has no self-confidence and how she gets over that..I think she’s of the most refreshing written female characters ever written in kdrama land..and feels very real to me…I personally related to her existential crisis.If she was really that narcissistic,she wouldn’t have quit the idol life ever at that point…so I don’t agree…I can understand that she may come across as unlikeable for some but I never felt so…Doona felt unique in the way that she herself ends up saving herself in the end(with wonjun’s assistance ofc)…characters with traumas don’t have anything else to them other than trauma…kdrama writers are really bad at writing women who are more than the result of their traumatic past.Doona’s trauma is shown but her normal,playful personality is also very much there.She feels more free when out of her idol personality.She has scars and everyone understands that…they all support her..And Doona doesn’t just stay like that…she also helps WJ in getting closer with Jin Ju during the start without ever claiming him to be hers only.I don’t think she was selfish or unsupportive of his feelings..she also lets Jin ju to come and stay at their house when she comes out from her home.Being with these people made her feel loved and she gained her self confidence back.She knew that she had it in her to be better but was feeling listless and very insecure of herself.But she knows that only she can save herself.She did some bad things ofc but only out of rashness where she just couldn’t think properly.The show makes it certain from that start that she’s not completely practical.The show is her development,her progress..you could say that she’s learning and progressing.But she felt guilty of them instantly and just apologised everytime.Even in the end,she is the one who fights for the relationship and gets closure and becomes better.She lovingly wrote and sang a very emotional song for him wishing they never break up.She truly loved him.I don’t think she’s egoistic.Even after all the traumas she’s experienced since young(abandonment,stalking,emotional abuse and manipulation),she still grew up and changed herself positively for her own sake and for Won jun..that’s truly love…and you can’t dismiss that as being egoistic/narcissistic.People with mental health problems have so much to deal with and they’re constantly trying and to term their efforts as such feels so sad and kinda disrespectful to me! This show felt very humane in dealing with that and portrayed her with care and sensitivity and as a woman with her own mind.And suzy aced it..

I've been in search for some slow burn heart fluttering romance for a long time. I'm so glad that Netflix has been releasing all episodes at once for dramas so I can peacefully binge watch without losing the connection while waiting for a week for the next ep. The subtly growing romance and angst is what I've been craving for and this rightfully feeded my soul ❤ the scene where she sleeps on his lap and they hold hands has me kicking my feet in the air like a crazy teenager hehe. And the kisses were so so good 😍 I need more dramas from yang sejong it's been a long wait since his last project.
